    The responsibilities of this position are to receive steel, handle rejected steel, place or remove steel from inventory, physically and in the computers, process all paperwork for receipts and rejections, deliver steel to presses, other material handling & inventory control tasks as needed, perform housekeeping tasks as needed. Maintain all re-weights of material returned form production. Pull & pre-stage raw material using industrial fork lift. Participate in raw material inventory audit by weighing raw material. Place scrapped raw material in container for delivery to scrap dealer. Support press operators by replacing full tubs with empty tubs. Support press operators by replacing slug tubs. Performing an initial walk-around of your forklift to ensure that it is in good working order before operating it, and reporting any problems or irregularities to maintenance. Training of new employees that apply to material handling responsibilities. Must have the ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities. Must be able to operate forklift and overhead crane taking into consideration human traffic. Must be able to work over-time as required. Ability to communicate well and work with others. Role Description: Must have experience in a manufacturing environment repairing and troubleshooting pressroom equipment (stamping presses as well as press feeders and machine tools). Journeyman certification or equivalent. You will be responsible for the repair of stamping related equipment; perform equipment and infrastructure preventive maintenance. Could also perform some automated machine and welding equipment maintenance as well as building maintenance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Installs, adjusts and observes for the proper operation of bearings of all types while making use of and observing the recommended shaft, housing fits, the bearing application and loading. Must have an understanding of lubricants and modern lubrication systems in order to troubleshoot and maintain the same. Must have knowledge of blueprint reading for ordering needed repair parts for machines and to replace stock. Performs, plumbing, HVAC and other miscellaneous repair work on shifts where the individual semi-skilled trades are not available. Works with and helps instruct apprentices in certain phases of their on-the-job training. Fills in work request tickets with necessary information.
