INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST

This position will be an integral component of the fabrication process by receiving and conducting inventory of inbound goods and preparing them for use within the production teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced and physically demanding warehouse environment. They will be required to operate fork-lifts and be able to move heavy inventory items.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Operate a forklift and reach truck for the delivery and receipt of client assets while on the warehouse floor.
Manage and maintain an accurate and thorough warehouse/inventory list of client owned products using our internal inventory software.
Follow inbound procedures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory levels.
Input detailed product descriptions and bin locations in current warehouse/inventory system.
Identify current inventory items to allow for priority scheduling of project-based asset handling.
Perform accurate check-ins of inbound shipments.
Work closely with the warehouse operations team in supporting all objectives.
Furnish accurate quality control photos and inventory through use of the PC.
Work with assembly technicians from any production department as requested to assist in assembling booths.
Should be an expert in their assigned section in the warehouse.
Extremely familiar with all 4 sections of inventory department in warehouse.
Possess a firm understanding of all 4 sections of inventory in Navision.
Willingness/ability/knowledge to train and lead other employees.
Regularly assists in other departments to help their department run more smoothly, in other words, takes ownership of their department.
Focus on accuracy regarding picking/pulling.
Fabricate hardware equipment.
Maintain clean and safe working environment.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
2-3 years of proven warehouse experience with The Trade Group
High school diploma or equivalent.
Efficient on stand up and sit-down forklifts and reach trucks.
Proficiency in Navision regarding inventory.
Strong technical skills including knowledge of MS Office programs.
Overtime will be required and expected during busy seasons to complete jobs.
Ability to work accurately and quickly under company deadlines.
Cooperative, courteous, flexible and good natured.
Conscientious, persistent, resourceful, productive and active.
Must have the ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships and deal with employees in an efficient and professional manner.
Trade show experience a plus
Must have reliable transportation.
Must have attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks and commitment to meeting and exceeding deadlines and goals.

What You'll Be Doing:
1. Loading & Unloading Deliveries:

2. Receiving Products and Materials:
Accurately comparing and recording deliveries against purchase orders and vendor pack slips to verify products and materials.
Proper recording of all shipments into mail tracking system for record keeping and distribution.
3. Order Picking:
Selecting orders in the warehouse in a timely and accurate manner.
Properly completing all paperwork associated with pick sheets.
Building pallets in accordance with proper procedures to transport safely to shops, etc.
4. Product Rotation:
Properly rotating stock and materials based on shelf life.
Accurately reporting expiration dates to allow for record keeping.
5. Inventory Accuracy:
Providing accurate information on product locations.
Assisting with cycle counts and product verification.
Timely reporting of discrepancies to line manager for investigation.
6. Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all OSHA and LLNY/Merlin Warehouse safety compliance requirements.
Provide feedback to line managers on issues or deficiencies.
Keep working areas clean and clear of clutter.
Ensures internal compliance with maintenance, safety and security procedures by following established ASTM (American Society for Testing & Materials International), NEC (National Electrical Code), NSF (National Science Foundation), OHSA as well as state and local codes.
What You'll Bring
Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old
Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and during the park's operating season. (off-season M-F, 7am to 3pm. Peak Season flexible availability - 7 days, 6:30am -4:30pm)
Experience: Minimum 6 months' experience in a fast paced warehouse operations service or comparable background is preferred.
Competent in basic arithmetic: Addition/Subtraction/Multiplication/Division
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and perform tasks that involve repetitive motion.
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Working at various heights including ladders, with proper safety training.
Warehouse power equipment experience preferred.
Ability to lift 30 pounds unassisted.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with team members effectively.
Ability to complete assignments in both individual and team tasking.
Must be able to read and write and communicate in the English language.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.

Responsibilities

The Warehouse Stock Handler's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Receive merchandise and invoices from deliveries. Verify invoice matches merchandise received. Accurately record information on recap sheet with neat handwriting. Make copies and distribution to ICS and Store Manager.
Immediately notify the supervisor of all discrepancies and damaged merchandise.
Store items in established storage methods, and stock location based on turnover and physical capabilities of facilities.
Immediately notify the supervisor of any merchandise damaged during the storage or delivery of merchandise to the store.
Make merchandise ready to deliver to stores as instructed.
Perform physical inspection of the forklift before operating. Ensure the forklift is in proper working order, and all safety features are in place. Report forklift malfunctions to supervisor. The forklift must be repaired before operating.

Position Summary
The Warehouse Worker is responsible for assisting in venue distribution/warehouse operations including inventory, receiving, purchasing, ordering, lay-ins, purchase order tracking, clean-up, transfers and equipment maintenance. This is a key position for the effective and profitable operation of the business. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work a variable event-driven schedule which includes evenings and weekends. Open availability, professional presentation, outstanding interpersonal skills, self-direction and independent decision-making skills are required.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $14.00.

Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting with product purchasing/ordering, receiving and distribution control for the venue.
Maintain sanitation and organizational systems of all warehouse storage areas.
Fulfills all event expectations including but not limited to requisitioning during events, post-event break down, warehouse returns, equipment storage, sanitation and maintenance.
Oversee and ensure that appropriate stocking levels are met for each event; rotate and maintain integrity of product.
Ensure proper transfer process of product between locations, including follow-up documentation.
Assists in performing routine maintenance; responsible for concession and utility equipment cleaning and maintenance: portable equipment, burden carriers, carts, floors, refrigeration, and lighting. Ensure manifested equipment is in location.
Evaluate warehouse employee performance. Maintain employee records, written warnings, reviews and other related documents.
Conduct walk through of the commissary, warehouse and storage areas after the completion of the day to ensure all areas are clean.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, professional and courteous manner which fosters a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
