I am an attorney with 25 years of experience, specializing in health, privacy, security and compliance law in both government and private sectors. Currently I am Chief Legal Counsel to eMDs, Inc., a leading provider of electronic medical records, practice management software, revenue cycle management solutions and credentialing services. Previously I served as Chief Privacy Officer for the State of Texas Health and Human Services system of agencies, overseeing the HHS enterprise privacy program and serving as the lead of the HHS Incident Response Team. I have overseen and triaged thousands of privacy and security incidents over my career. I also served as HHS Special Counsel for Privacy and Security and served as a Senior Healthcare lawyer in a large regional law firm. I have developed a number of privacy programs from the ground up. I co-authored the Texas Department of Information Resources Incident Response Plan Template.

Tanveer, has more than 16 years of leadership experience. He has extensive exposure to US healthcare business, both inpatient (physician, provider) and outpatient (emergency and ambulatory), single to multi specialty and hospital chains (enterprise). Prior to joining eMDs, Tanveer was associated with IKS Health as Vice President, Operations leading the multi channel and multi specialty business. Tanveer has served in senior leadership positions in BFSI and healthcare verticals across provider, physicians, patient financial services and health plans. He has rich experience in healthcare insurance systems related to US, India, Bermuda and South Africa. He has done roles across Operations, Transitions, Consulting, Presales and Human Resources. He was previously associated with Accenture, Hinduja Global Solutions, HSBC, Apollo Health Street and Accretive Health.
