This is an ACTIVE position with 100% of time being on the plant floor (standing, walking, climbing stairs). Primary Responsibilities: Conduct basic quality checks and inspections on products, packaging, and processes to ensure compliance with company standards. Perform routine testing such as temperature, weight, and visual assessments of products on the production line. Document quality results and assist in reporting any issues or deviations to management. Work with production teams to uphold sanitation and safety practices in the work environment. Assist in the maintenance of quality assurance records, logs, and related documentation. Participate in training on quality assurance standards, food safety, and company policies to build a foundation in quality assurance principles. Key Qualifications: No prior quality assurance experience required, familiarity with food safety and quality standards (HACCP, USDA, FDA regulations) and inspection is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in food science, biology, chemistry, or a related field is a plus. Ability to work 100% on the plant floor, routinely lifting 30 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures accurately. Basic communication skills and a positive attitude toward learning and teamwork. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite). Monitor transition progress, identify risks, and escalate critical issues to project leadership. Communicate project risks, issues, and status updates to project leadership and stakeholders.
