E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. was founded in 1988 by Hersh Saluja to provide wastewater and water consulting services for municipal and federal clients. Our services quickly expanded to include transit and transportation engineering. In 1992, E2 began providing services to the Department of Energy for facility operations and maintenance for nuclear operations. In 1993, CH2M HILL sponsored E2 as one of its Protégé firms. In 2012, E2 began providing project management services to utility clients, including Southern California Gas Company and Pacific Gas & Electric. It moved to expand pipeline construction and inspection services to utilities throughout the United States. In the same year, E2 also developed and launched a proprietary software application, E2 M2M® to streamline and create efficiencies around the recordkeeping and sharing of field data and complex projects.

Overview

 E2 is looking for a Cathodic Protection Designer to join our team and complete designs for any projects involving cathodic protection. This role includes design, planning, coordinating and completing tasks/projects related to cathodic protection in natural gas pipelines and related equipment.

Responsibilities

 Design and develop cathodic protection systems for pipelines, tanks, and other infrastructure.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct field surveys and assessments to determine the condition of existing cathodic protection systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure designs meet project requirements and standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and project proposals.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide technical support during installation and commissioning of cathodic protection systems.
 </li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
 <li>
 4-10 years of experience in cathodic protection design.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD and CP design tools.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong understanding of corrosion principles and protection methods.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
 </li>
</ul>

 Preferred Qualifications:

<ul>

 Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Corrosion Science, or a related field.
 </li>
 <li>
 Certification from the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) as a Cathodic Protection Technician or Specialist.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with cathodic protection systems for natural gas utilities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., NACE, ASTM).
 </li>

Wage Data Per State Requirements

 Salary range for this position is $70,000 - $105,000. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
