This Opportunity
The Intermediate Interior Designer supports the development of innovative, functional, and technically sound design solutions for institutional, educational, and healthcare projects. This role contributes to all project phases, applying strong design skills, technical knowledge, and collaboration with project teams to deliver thoughtful, well-executed interiors.
The Intermediate Interior Designer will work out of our Los Angeles, CA office.

Who You Are
6+ years of relevant professional experience in the design and construction industry, with a focus on institutional, healthcare, higher education, and workplace interiors
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture or Interior Design
Proven proficiency in Revit/BIM is required.
Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, with proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Strong knowledge of interior materials, color theory, graphic composition, FF&E selection, specification, and procurement processes.
Familiarity with building codes, ADA standards. , and LEED requirements.
Demonstrated leadership, strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
Licensure as a California Registered Architect or Certified Interior Designer (CID) or National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ)

Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 per year. Applicants, please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Architect Designer to lead complex architectural projects from concept through completion. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong design sensibility, technical expertise, and proven leadership in managing teams, clients, and consultants.
Key Responsibilities
Experience producing Architectural Design and construction documents in an A/E consulting firm
Proficiency in REVIT
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Comfortable with a broad range of project types
Familiarity and experience working with building codes
Familiarity with building design and construction
Proactive and assertive in problem solving
Comfortable working on parallel assignments
Comfortable working in teams and making group presentations
Familiarity with A/E industry BIM standards a plus
Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation a plus
LEED certification a plus

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture
Help our clients achieve their goals
Work with Project Architects and Project Managers to meet KZF goals and objectives
Prepare Architectural design and construction documents in REVIT
Seek advice and counsel from Project Architects and Director of Architectural Services as needed
Maintain technical expertise in your profession and area of work
Interface with all professional disciplines assigned to the project to coordinate the Architectural work
Maintain a general knowledge of mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, fire protection and telecom building systems; coordinate these systems with the architectural design
Prepare documents in conformance with KZF standards and quality control requirements
Assist with preparing architectural design studies
Assist with the preparation of design documents as required for all phases of design (concept, schematic, design development, construction documents)
Assist with researching building materials and systems and selecting appropriate items for incorporation into the building design
Assist with the review of shop drawing and construction submittals
Participate in value engineering as requested.
Attend project team meetings as requested
Assist with field investigations and participate in construction site observation visits as requested
