Provides opportunity for entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and expression for all residents of the facility. Assists the physically, emotionally and cognitively impaired individual and family to explore appropriate leisure interests. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Works closely and under the direction of the Activities Director to assist with organizing and developing a program of activities to meet the social, emotional, physical and other therapeutic needs of residents. Follows activity care plans to assure that all residents are provided with recreational activities that are consistent with the needs and wishes of the resident groups, individual residents, bed-bound residents, self-sufficient residents, and the community as a whole. The Activity Coordinator assures that this care plan is integrated into the overall plan of care for each individual resident.
