A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHER
As an Early Childhood Education Teacher , you learn, understand, and embrace the Quaker education values and use them in all aspects of your teaching/childcare position which includes the morning meeting, emergent curriculum, classroom management, interactions, and more. You set the foundation for parents to get a good first impression of our school.
Within our beautiful facility, you are assigned a classroom where you oversee students and activities, creating memorable learning experiences. You structure a relaxed atmosphere for your students while ensuring an organized program. As safety is always a priority, you adhere to all school rules and policies.
In a developmentally-appropriate learning environment based on Quaker values, you nurture, enrich, and encourage passion for inquiry, an openness to diverse perspectives, and a commitment to social justice amongst their peers, staff, and community. During each stage of development from infancy on up, you instill essential knowledge, necessary skills, and an inquiry-based mindset in each child enrolled in your class. This gives them the tools that they need to successfully navigate the future.You eagerly greet parents, communicating daily about their completed activities as well as the progress their child is making.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHER
- At least 19 years of age
- A 90-hour preschool certificate and 45-hour infant/toddler (or the equivalent)
WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full-time teaching/childcare position working Monday-Friday, 9am to 6pm.
