Our Early Intervention program serves a remarkable 95% of all Greater Lawrence children who are referred to our Early Intervention services! As an Early Invention new hire, you will participate in a paid 8-week onboarding program earning how Early Intervention helps children and families in a home-based setting, establishing supportive working relationships, participating in personal development, and mentoring programs, and creating your own flexible work schedule.


Our Early Intervention Program is looking for a caring and dedicated Occupational Therapist. This position full time (prefer) or fee for service and is part of our multi-disciplinary team providing support services to families and their children ages birth to three with developmental delays or risk factors for delays. Services are provided throughout Andover, North Andover, Methuen, and Lawrence. The Occupational Therapist will bring their expertise and knowledge to our impactful work with children and families while working collaboratively with our Early Intervention team.


Job Requirements :

  • Current Massachusetts Occupational Therapy professional license
  • Experience working with special needs children ages birth to 3 and/or experience working in a home-based setting preferred
  • Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • A Plus: bilingual Spanish, DPH Certified Early Intervention Specialist (CEIS)
  • This position requires a satisfactory criminal background check

Community Healthlink (CHL) recognizes the power of a diverse community and seeks applications from individuals with varied experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds. Come join a friendly and diverse team of professionals who provide quality home visiting services for infants and toddlers. Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for an Occupational Therapist for our Early Intervention (EI) program to work 12-24 hrs/wk. Flexible hours are available - days, early evenings and/or Saturdays on a fee-for-service basis in the North Worcester County area.

The Early Intervention (EI) team provides strength-based, family-centered services for young children under three years of age who have developmental delays or are at risk of a developmental delay. Services are designed to meet the needs of each infant or toddler, and the needs of their family. The EI team provides services in the home/community setting with the goal of enhancing the child's physical, cognitive, communication, social-emotional and adaptive skills.
+ Provide direct intervention services to children 0 - 3 and their families.

+ Carry out service coordination functions when appropriate as defined by the Early Intervention standards.

+ Assist in transition planning prior to discharge from the program.

+ Referrals to outside agencies as needed.

+ Maintain client records and other administrative duties according to DPH and Lipton Early Intervention policies.

+ Attend staff and/or region meetings as required.

+ Attend in-service education and professional meetings as required.

+ Perform related duties as assigned.

+ Adhere to all of CHL's protocols, policies, and procedures.

+ Early Intervention services are provided both in-person and/or by Telehealth.

+ Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

+ Protect confidentiality

+ Able to work independently and contribute to the overall success of the team.

+ Flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, verbal, written and communication skills.

+ Respect diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.

+ Bachelor's degree or higher prepared graduate of a curriculum in occupational therapy approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
