He most recently served as the Assistant Chief Information Officer of NOAA’s National Ocean Service, where he implemented enterprise-level IT solutions in networking, cyber security, and cloud services that drove cost savings and increased productivity; reinforced cyber security posture by implementing performance metrics program and operational security processes; and established a strategic sourcing program to gain organization-wide economies of scale.

Mr. Johnson previously held IT management and technical positions at the National Marine Fisheries Service, Defense Logistics Agency, Department of Defense Dependence Schools, and within private industry. He is now responsible for promoting best practices in information technology and data management across ERT programs and ensuring the performance of ERT’s IT management practices.

Mr. Johnson received his Management of Science degree in Computer Systems Management from the University of Maryland University College. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from The Pennsylvania State University.
