STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Operates tractor-trailer truck for the New Bakery Transportation Company of Ohio, Inc.; maintains contact with supervisor or dispatcher for delivery instructions, transports product, off loads, records and collects proper logs and documentation. Ensures tractor-trailer truck operation and equipment adhere to Company procedures and government regulations.
Pay- $10K sign on bonus, .48 cents per mile, $21.10/drop. Our Drivers Average $115K Per year.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Connects trailer to truck and conducts pre-trip, mid-trip and post-trip safety inspection of tires, lights, horn, steering, service brakes, windshield wipers, mirrors and coupling devices. Signs off on inspections in accordance with Federal motor carrier safety regulations.
2. Drives truck to and from specified destinations. Removes empty store freezer racks, cleans freezer and rotates product to ensure old product is used first. Unloads product and places in freezer. Rotates truck product and reloads empty racks. Completes appropriate paperwork authorization and documentation from each destination. Ensures store security by activating alarm systems and following individual store safety requirements, as necessary.
3. Remains aware of customer's needs and desires; insures continued high levels of customer service.
4. Records duty status with electronic recording device or paper logs to comply with Federal motor carrier safety regulations.
5. Notifies the Company of breakdowns, accidents or anticipated delays, as soon as possible.
6. Ensures tractor-trailer truck operations adhere to Company procedures and Federal motor carrier regulations.
7. Performs other job-related duties as may be assigned or required.

KNOWLEDGE

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
1-3 year of tractor trailer truck driving experience and valid "Class A" commercial driver's license. Physical examination required every 2 years.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Trips up to 40 hours duration. Exposure to inclement weather.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lifting 75lbs, pushing/pulling and moving objects weighing up to 100 lbs. plus (using dollies/carts). Repetitive motion bending, reaching, stooping, squatting and sitting for long periods.

The primary role of CDL Driver is to safely and compliantly operate various heavy equipment with a gross vehicle weight over 26,000 pounds, including but not limited to roll-off trucks, tractor-trailers, liquid vacs, turbo vacs, box trucks, and rack trucks with trailers. Job Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects electronically through Geotab TM & Whip Around TM, as well as communicate issues with Dispatch & Supervisor
Following all laws regarding traffic rules, speed limits, and safe driving practices when transporting hazardous materials/waste
Regularly participate in communication meetings with the team to help drive growth and create a collaborative culture
Performing DOT pre- and post - trip vehicle inspection reports
Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
Follow applicable safety rules regulations, guidelines, policies and site-specific safety plans when performing cleanup activities and donning protective gear Assist in the setup, tear down, & decontaminating equipment
Maintain supplies & equipment by properly stocking & restocking in a neat & orderly fashion
Responsible for loading and unloading Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), supplies, vacuum hoses, camlock fittings, box liners, drums, totes, etc. as instructed in JRS or work order
Complete required daily timesheet, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA's), labels, manifests, & land disposal restrictions as required
Perform daily maintenance of vehicles (refueling, cleaning, etc.)
Use small hand tools squeegees shovels and brooms as well as wipes absorbent boom and pads to contain and remediate impacted soils and waters
Loading and unloading box trucks with forklifts and pallet jacks
Interacting with customers in a professional manner
Safely handle, package, & transport hazardous materials/waste. This includes loading, unloading, & ensuring all piece/drum counts match all associated shipping documents
Must be prepared to work flexible or extended hours in inclement weather conditions including heat, cold, & humidity
Ability to work a rotating shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. May require out-of-town travel. Length of travel will be dependent on service center and on-going projects

Maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicles and ensure all equipment remains in proper working order.
Adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) protocols and other driving time regulations to ensure lawful and safe operations.
Required Qualifications:
Current CDL-A with tanker endorsement
Must be able to operate a manual 18-speed
Must be at least 21 years of age
Provide training that meets 1888 industry standards and customer expectations
Hazmat endorsement is a plus but not required
Maintain a safe driving record per MVR
Current Medical Card
Positive work history and dependability
Oilfield knowledge is a benefit, but not required
Per federal DOT regulations (49 CFR § 391.11), applicants must be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to safely perform the duties of a CDL/DOT driver.
Company Requirements:
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check to company standards.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical test and drug and alcohol screening.
Vision: Must meet DOT standards-typically at least 20/40 in both eyes and sufficient peripheral vision.

Physical Requirements:
80%-90% of the time is spent sitting, driving, and communicating with dispatch.
10%-20% of the time will be spent climbing in and out of trucks, lifting and pulling up to 50 lbs, using stairs to traverse containment walls, as well as bending, reaching, kneeling and walking.

What You'll Do
Safely operate company vehicles to deliver beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages to retail accounts.
Follow assigned delivery routes and complete them within scheduled timeframes.
Provide excellent customer serviceby interacting professionally with retail clients during deliveries, ensuring accurate orders, timely service, and a positive experience at each stop.
Rotate products at retail locations to ensure freshness and proper presentation.
Accurately calculate totals and collect payments at each stop.
Complete all required paperwork during driver check-in at the end of your route.
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain driver logs.
Navigate routes using maps and GPS.
Work in all weather conditions-rain, snow, heat, or cold.

CDL A Delivery Driver Skills / Qualifications
Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
Ability to ocassionally lift and maneuver 170 lb kegs, and 40lb cases with a dollyat each delivery location.
Solid math skills for accurate payment collection.
Experience operating forklifts and equipment dollies.
Comfortable working in various outdoor weather conditions.
