    JOB TITLE Quality Supervisor JOB NO: REPORTS TO Quality Systems Manager - Denver SUPERVISES QA Techs LOCATION: Denver, CO JOB SUMMARY: Our Quality Supervisor is responsible for providing guidance and ensure compliance for quality and food safety programs at our bakery. We are looking for someone with strong work ethics and a focus on food safety and quality. This person will supvervise up to 9 QA Techs across three different shifts. Ensure all compliance for Quality and Food Safety for that location. Additionally, meeting and/or exceeding our customer expectations/requirements. This will include the environmental monitoring program, internal auditing program, traceability program, customer complaints, food defense, food safety plan, and management of ERP systems. GFSI knowledge is desirable for audit compliance. ERP system experience is desirable for PO management. Essential Functions: Monitor and track all production quality checks and product scoring. Provide excellent customer service by complying with the requirements and ensuring the quality expectations set forth by the customer. Supervise QA Techs at the bakery (up to 9 technicians) by providing guidance, training, and focus on critical thinking. Investigate quality and food safety issues and customer complaints through root cause analysis and generation of corrective and preventive actions in conjunction with relevant departments. Support the BRC program by developing, managing, improving, and implementing necessary programs. Perform internal audits and GMP inspections. Support in maintaining all Federal, State, and Local Food Safety Compliance. Facilitate 3 rd party GFSI audits, customer audits, and regulatory audits. Support general plant safety, food safety, food defense initiatives, and good manufacturing practices with the understanding that these are non-negotiable. Work with ERP and company systems to manage and maintain product records. Prepares and performs trainings with team members of other departments as needed. Serve as the backup to the QS Manager in their absence, reporting to the Quality Systems Director. Other job duties as assigned by the QS Manager Minimum Qualifications: Education and experience equivalent to: Education/Certification: BS degree in Food Science or related area from an accredited college or university. Work Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience within the food-manufacturing environment. Ensures compliance with federal and local regulations. - Supervises cleaning of equipment and machines through disassembly and reassembly procedures per HACCP/HARPC/SSOP guidelines and schedules in accordance with production operations. - Able to operate aerial lifts and forklifts - Creates and manages budget information for fiscal year for Sanitation labor and supplies for the Bakery - Performs ATP Swab testing for Sanitation Verification - Order Supplies using SAP System -Maintains proper staffing to operate the shift in compliance with union work rules. -Conduct weekly scheduling -Directs training/retraining to ensure employees can perform the job competently and safe. -Records and reports employee performance issues. Follows through with corrective actions. -Perform other duties as assigned by appropriate management. -Work with vendors and manage projects as necessary MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience equivalent to: Education/Certification: High School Diploma required, BS Degree in a Science desirable. 3 or more years of Sanitation Supervisory experience in a food processing facility.
