About the position:
In our Supported Employment Services (SES) department, the Childcare Specialist provides training and support to individuals with disabilities in community work settings or internship sites, including External Situational Assessments and Personal Vocational Social Adjustments, Tailored Day Services, Job Coaching, Project SEARCH, Tutoring, and Excel Internships. Assists job developer in the support of consumers regarding vocational evaluation, planning, and placement. Provides support during interviews. Assists with Ticket to Work, development of task analysis for new work sites, development of assistive tools, and outreach.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in human services (exceptions made by Executive Director).
Experience:
A minimum of three years experience in service provision to individuals with disabilities.
Schedule:
Part-Time, 30 hours per week.
Monday-Friday: Between the hours of 8:00AM-6:00PM.
Locations:
Working in Alameda County.
Cities: Oakland, Berkeley, Emeryville, San Leandro, Castro Valley, and Hayward.
Valid California Driver's License, access to a reliable vehicle, and auto insurance (mileage reimbursement is offered for on the job driving).

Supported Employment Responsibilities:
Provides coverage to consumers at their internship/job site during the absence of primary staff or during the initial training periods.
Provides direct services to consumers as needed including job coaching, pre-employment skills training, and assessment.
Assists consumers to grow in their educational and/or vocational skills by adapting training and support techniques to individual needs and learning styles.
Assists consumers to perform tasks crucial once employed or within internships to manage and report wages in regards to Social Security benefits as well as understand the impact of wages on benefits. (Initial wage reporting to Social Security, buying work clothing, union memberships, etc.)
Represents the agency and acts as liaison between the client, their family and friends, the employer, and other agencies (i.e. Supported and Independent Living agencies assisting the client).
Provides assistance to the job developer with Tailored Day Services.
Assists to develop vocational sites to provide External Situational Assessments, provides support and evaluation during the assessment period and completes paperwork and final reports.
Brings all concerns to the supervisor and shares all development, progress or identified barriers with primary job coach or job developer.
Assists Director of Employment Services with billing and reports.
Assists with program evaluation, and service surveys.
Sets up files, performs filing, updates files and mailing lists for consumers and supports.
Attends all required training and staff meetings as assigned.
Provides outreach to employers to develop employment opportunities, as assigned.
Other duties and admin support as assigned.
Tutoring Responsibilities:
Note any new barriers or support needs on monthly reports.
Help consumers take any pre-tests and get started with each course.
Help with understanding the content of the lessons, providing context, and elaborating on any points.
Assisting consumers with looking up challenging words/concepts and understanding them.
Providing and developing supplemental practice materials and personalized tools.
Practicing learned skills as they follow each topic to ensure understanding through custom created practice activities.
Assist consumers in taking online exams/tests and understanding the results.
Supporting consumers with all other academic needs.

About the Position:
As a Supported Living Specialist, you would provide one on one support for adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. Your goal would be to provide respectful, person-centered, services that enable our clients to participate in all aspects of their community, and lead meaningful lives centered around independence and empowerment. Rather than having a traditional set-schedule, you would work with the SLS management team to provide as-needed coverage across Alameda County to a variety of clients with a variety of support needs.
This role includes using your organizational and critical thinking skills to answer our Emergency Cellphone, arrange staff coverage, and directly respond to cover shifts with clients.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position working 5 days per week at 40 hours per week with occasional opportunities for overtime.
This role requires you to have open availability 7 days a week, and you would only work 5 out of the 7 days.
You would need to travel throughout Alameda County, using your own vehicle.
You would provide coverage for open shifts and for staff absences. The shifts worked would vary according to the support needs of our clients: day time, evening, overnights, and weekends will be included. The Specialist schedule will change every week based upon support needs and open shifts.
Compensation:
$28.62 per hour.
You would also receive a $75 stipend on weekdays for holding the Emergency Cell Phone for 24 hour periods, and a $125 stipend on weekend days!

The Skill Builders Program Manager is responsible for leading, expanding, and ensuring the quality of UCPIE's Skill Builders after-school programs, including virtual programs and Para-Karate programs throughout the Inland Empire. This role oversees program operations, supervises site supervisors and program support staff, and ensures compliance with all regulatory, contractual, and organizational requirements. The Program Manager serves as the primary liaison between families, staff, community partners, and UCPIE leadership, ensuring that services are delivered safely, effectively, and in alignment with UCPIE's mission. This position is also responsible for program development, staff training, data management, and contributing program information for grants, reports, and marketing efforts. The Skill Builders Program Manager plays a key leadership role in advancing access to high-quality social and recreational opportunities for children and youth with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Expand Skill Builders programs to underserved communities in the Inland Empire.
Recruit, hire and train site supervisors for the Skill Builders program.
Supervise site supervisors; assure they follow federal, state, and local regulations and UCPIE program design in the delivery of service.
Supervise Program Assistant; assure virtual program services are delivered as per program design.
Act as a liaison for parents and site supervisors to assure quality of Skill Builders program.
Recruit and enroll children for new Skill Builder's programs and or assist Site Supervisors when needed.
Recruit and facilitate the hiring of social recreation coaches for new sites and when needed for existing programs.
Oversee the Para-Karate program, including processing enrollments and track and monitor program attendance and enrollment numbers.
Be the primary contact with facilities executive staff to assure Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) and relationships are sound with UCPIE partners.
Be the primary contact for Site Supervisors for questions about their job duties.
Provide site supervisors with on-going support and training. When staff shortages occur, the Program Manager will step in to provide direct coverage in place of a coach or site supervisor to maintain safe and consistent program operations.
Coordinate site supervisor meetings on a monthly basis.
Coordinate annual Skill Builders program staff appreciation activities.
Monitor attendance and program quality by checking in and maintaining all Skill Builders program documentation paperwork.
File and organize all Skill Builders documentation, including calendars and daily notes.
Review and approve Skill Builder's payroll.
Review and approve Skill Builder's program expenses.
Oversee the Virtual Program Assistant and provide coverage for the virtual program when the Program Assistant is unavailable or when contractors call out.
Review and approve Virtual Program Calendar
Keep program participant data current.
Document and provide supporting information for Skill Builders for grant proposals and reports.
Conduct an annual audit of the Skills Builders Program, including administering a parent satisfaction survey, compiling the data, and preparing a written summary.
Evaluate program operations; make recommendations for improvement of existing systems to stay up to date with technology.
Use ADP system to manage after-school staff under the guidance of Human Resources policies, procedures, and management.
Assist development staff by providing content of Skill Builders activities and progress to be used for social media and UCPIE marketing campaigns.
Provide Associate Director of Program Services with regular update of activities and program operations on the day-to-day administration of the Skill Builders program.

Qualifications:
The Skill Builders Program Manager must meet all personnel requirements, including passing a background check (FBI & DOJ), maintaining a valid California driver's license, providing proof of insurance and vehicle registration, and having reliable transportation.
Required:
Additional qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree in a social services-related field, or equivalent experience with advanced training; a Master's degree is preferred.
Two years or more of experience in case management.
Two years or more of experience supervising staff, including managing and developing personnel.
Ability to track, monitor, and develop program goals to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with organizational objectives.
Extensive experience working within the disability services field, particularly with the California Department of Developmental Services and Regional Centers.
Knowledge of human resources practices, as well as safety and emergency procedures relevant to community-based programs is preferred.

About the position:
In our Supported Employment Services (SES) department, the Childcare Specialist provides training and support to individuals with disabilities in community work settings or internship sites, including External Situational Assessments and Personal Vocational Social Adjustments, Tailored Day Services, Job Coaching, Project SEARCH, Tutoring, and Excel Internships. Assists job developer in the support of consumers regarding vocational evaluation, planning, and placement. Provides support during interviews. Assists with Ticket to Work, development of task analysis for new work sites, development of assistive tools, and outreach.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in human services (exceptions made by Executive Director).
Experience:
A minimum of three years experience in service provision to individuals with disabilities.
Schedule:
Part-Time, 30 hours per week.
Monday-Friday: Between the hours of 8:00AM-6:00PM.
Locations:
Working in Alameda County.

Provides coverage to consumers at their internship/job site during the absence of primary staff or during the initial training periods.
Provides direct services to consumers as needed including job coaching, pre-employment skills training, and assessment.
Assists consumers to grow in their educational and/or vocational skills by adapting training and support techniques to individual needs and learning styles.

Represents the agency and acts as liaison between the client, their family and friends, the employer, and other agencies (i.e. Supported and Independent Living agencies assisting the client).
Provides assistance to the job developer with Tailored Day Services.
Assists to develop vocational sites to provide External Situational Assessments, provides support and evaluation during the assessment period and completes paperwork and final reports.
Brings all concerns to the supervisor and shares all development, progress or identified barriers with primary job coach or job developer.
Assists Director of Employment Services with billing and reports.
Assists with program evaluation, and service surveys.
Sets up files, performs filing, updates files and mailing lists for consumers and supports.
Attends all required training and staff meetings as assigned.
Provides outreach to employers to develop employment opportunities, as assigned.
Other duties and admin support as assigned.
Tutoring Responsibilities:
Note any new barriers or support needs on monthly reports.
Help consumers take any pre-tests and get started with each course.
Help with understanding the content of the lessons, providing context, and elaborating on any points.
Assisting consumers with looking up challenging words/concepts and understanding them.
Providing and developing supplemental practice materials and personalized tools.
Practicing learned skills as they follow each topic to ensure understanding through custom created practice activities.
Assist consumers in taking online exams/tests and understanding the results.

The Skill Builders Program Manager is responsible for leading, expanding, and ensuring the quality of UCPIE's Skill Builders after-school programs, including virtual programs and Para-Karate programs throughout the Inland Empire. The Program Manager serves as the primary liaison between families, staff, community partners, and UCPIE leadership, ensuring that services are delivered safely, effectively, and in alignment with UCPIE's mission. This position is also responsible for program development, staff training, data management, and contributing program information for grants, reports, and marketing efforts. The Skill Builders Program Manager plays a key leadership role in advancing access to high-quality social and recreational opportunities for children and youth with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Expand Skill Builders programs to underserved communities in the Inland Empire.
Recruit, hire and train site supervisors for the Skill Builders program.
Supervise site supervisors; assure they follow federal, state, and local regulations and UCPIE program design in the delivery of service.
Supervise Program Assistant; assure virtual program services are delivered as per program design.
Act as a liaison for parents and site supervisors to assure quality of Skill Builders program.

Schedule:
This is a part-time position. The Emergency Responder would be on-call for a 24 hour period on a weekly basis.

Available: Sundays - Tri-Valley (9:00AM Sunday - 9:00AM Monday).
Initially, there are also 16 hours of paid training with clients per week to learn the support needs of the clients.

United Cerebral Palsy of the Inland Empire (UCPIE) is a 501 (c) (3) organization incorporated in 1985. UCPIE is an affiliate of over 60 national United Cerebral Palsy organizations providing services to people with developmental disabilities beyond cerebral palsy. UCPIE provides programs and services in the Inland Empire in both Riverside and San Bernardino counties. BASIC FUNCTION:
The Respite worker will provide intermittent, regular scheduled, temporary care, and or supervision for a mutual client of Inland Regional Center and United Cerebral Palsy who resides with a family member or care provider.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provide responsible care so that family stability may be restored or maintained in families with
developmentally disabled members.
Work a minimum of two hours at each respite appointment.
Follow instructions for the care of clients/consumers and siblings as outlined by parent(s)/guardian(s).
Assist client/consumer(s) in areas of feeding, dressing, toileting, grooming, light meal
preparation, etc., as needed.
Use safety precautions at all times when providing care to clients/consumer(s) and siblings.
Report suspected incidents of abuse to the Respite Program Manager & complete the required
documentation.
Never leave a client(s)/ consumer(s)/ siblings unattended.
Maintain certification of CPR and First Aid at all times; current copies to be on file in office.
Adhere to policies and procedures in the employee handbook and respite fundamental training manual.
Adhere to UCPIE's Injury and Illness Prevention Plan and all other applicable safety procedures.
Report any changes in personal information to the respite program manager immediately.
Complete and submit time cards, mileage, reports, etc., using UCPIE timekeeping and case management software.
Complete client daily notes and submit to UCPIE administrative offices as instructed by the respite
program manager.
Maintain current information on emergency call forms and submit copy to UCPIE office.
Return phone calls to the UCPIE administrative team within 24 hours or immediately if an emergency message is received.
Do not transport client(s) or siblings at any time.
Continue education through training modules, workshops, annual UCPIE in-house training, etc.

What does an Emergency Cellphone Responder do?
