Ritchie Environmental - a Ferguson Company is seeking a Water & Wastewater Sales Representative in our Waterworks Division - Process Solutions to fill an immediate need with growing market opportunities for water & wastewater process equipment. If you are self-motivated, dedicated and can provide phenomenal customer service coupled with a passion for contributing directly to the bottom line of a multi-billion-dollar organization, this is the position for you!
This is a sales role supporting our customers and manufacturers in the Northern Virginia area. A fuel card, auto allowance, travel and expense card, company cell phone & laptop will be provided.
This position is fully remote and requires roughly 50% travel throughout the primary area of focus.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and an assigned customer base, while working with other associates to ensure customer satisfaction with our products and services, from project inception to product delivery, and beyond.
Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities to expand the current customer base by working with management in developing sales strategies and new account targeting.
Perform various duties including product application analysis, product selection, assisting the engineering community with specification recommendations and design development, estimating and scope development, bidding to contractors, and problem resolution.
Analyze competition in territory, devise sales strategy, and communicate sales strategy to management.
Primary focus in the Northern Virginia market.
Continually improve sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image in the field.
Foster and form strategic partnerships with Engineers, Owners, Contractors, and other market influencers to improve market positioning.
Represent Ferguson Waterworks - Process Solutions at industry events and organizations.
Assist the Director in the negotiation of contractual arrangements, both with Manufacturer Partners and Owners/Clients
Evolutionary approach for sales of one or more products represented by the company.
Document all sales activity performed in our internal Customer Relationship Management tool (Salesforce) for ongoing evaluation of the new business pipeline and measurement of sales.
Qualifications
12+ years of water and wastewater industry related experience, with 5+ years of sales experience. Construction management experience is a plus.
A successful associate will be results oriented, self-motivated, able to complete tasks in a timely manner, build relationships and enjoy a team environment
Strong technical background and experience in water and wastewater.
Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or environmental engineering is preferred. Professional Engineer license a plus.
Committee and board member roles with industry associations is a plus.

Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction science, architecture, or a similar field and 2+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Ability to create BIM/VDC models and update with current construction documents and specifications.
Revit Software is highly preferred
Waterworks experience is highly preferred.
A high degree of integrity, superior attention to detail, and the ability to think critically.
Requires a fundamental understanding of mechanical systems and equipment.
Ability to discuss projects with customers and facilitate open communication.
Proficiency with Autodesk software and Microsoft Office programs.
Strong time management and organizational skills are essential.

Perform detailed material takeoff
Mark plans accordingly checking and highlighting items taken off
Enter specification, phase, system, location, and notes as required for each item
Note any specific qualifications or alternatives to plans or specifications
Complete takeoff and review project data for accuracy before releasing to Project Manager
Review project addenda daily and update scope of materials as required
Qualifications
3+ years of experience performing material takeoffs for Waterworks materials
Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of pipe, valves, fittings, and misc materials associated with the waterworks industry. Specifically DIP, Steel, Stainless, HDPE, PVC, and Process Valves
Demonstrated knowledge of construction documents - Plans, Detail drawings, P&ID Drawings, Specifications, Bid forms and front end documents, project management, and construction administration
Detailed and be able to maintain a high level of accuracy
Strongly organized and with the ability to handle multiple projects
Ability to handle electronic file management on data server
Ability to learn new technological advances within our industry and operation
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word & Excel
Effective communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Knowledge of Sage Estimating is a plus
Knowledge of Planswift Estimating software is a plus
Design-Build experience is a plus

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as a high-level subject matter expert responsible for performing Ferguson's Facility Survey and Data Collection program-ensuring accurate, complete, and standardized data capture across capital planning, compliance, and operational readiness, with full system integration (e.g., Lucernex, CoStar, ProCore, ServiceChannel) to support cross-functional decisions in Facilities Management, Real Estate, Project Management, and Finance.

Validate and review third-party PCA reports for accuracy, relevance, and cost estimation integrity.
Ensure documentation meets regulatory, accessibility, environmental, and fire/life safety requirements.
Support internal partners by translating technical observations into actionable plans, risk mitigation strategies, and funding priorities.
Reassess previously visited facilities to track resolution of past issues and maintain current data in shared systems.

Preferred Education, Experience and Expertise
5+ years of directly related experience with facility condition assessments, preferably at a corporate level with a mixed-use industrial/retail portfolio
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related subject area preferred.
Professional certifications such as CFM, MRICS, CCP, or CFCA preferred. Additional credentials in cost estimating (e.g., CEP, CCP) or asset management (e.g., ISO 55000) are highly valued.
Deep technical understanding of building systems and infrastructure (HVAC, MEP, envelope, life safety).
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to clearly document and explain findings.
Skilled in developing cost estimates using industry benchmarks and historical data.

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager - National Accounts, to join our Meter & Automation team!
This role will be responsible for building a team to drive sales growth of advanced water infrastructure technologies-with a strong emphasis on water metering systems, AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure), leak detection, and pressure management solutions-to large municipalities across the United States. This individual will develop strategic relationships with engineering consultants, technology partners, and municipal stakeholders, while maintaining awareness of the regulatory landscape and political climate that affects procurement and project execution. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert and advocate for smart water metering and AMI adoption in large-scale municipal deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development
Develop and implement a comprehensive national account sales strategy focused on AMI systems and smart water metering technologies, as well as complementary non-revenue water solutions.
Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in the municipal water utility sector with a focus on metering modernization initiatives.
Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and ROI/value proposition discussions with technical partners, utility leadership, consulting engineers and elected officials, particularly emphasizing metering accuracy, real-time data, and operational efficiency through AMI.
Lead the proposal process, respond to RFPs, and collaborate on contracts with internal legal, operations, and technical teams to support AMI and water meter system deployments.
Coordinate strategy and efforts closely with the Meter and Automation outside sales team and sales managers.
Strategic Relationship Building
Establish and maintain strong relationships with metering program managers, utility operations teams, consulting engineers, and technology integrators.
Position the company as a leading provider of integrated AMI and smart metering solutions, acting as a consultative partner throughout the project lifecycle.
Actively participate in key water industry associations (e.g., AWWA, AMWA) to represent the company and support broader adoption of smart water infrastructure.
Regulatory & Political Awareness
Monitor and analyze local and state-level policies that impact water metering mandates, AMI funding, including grant, and loan programs, and digital infrastructure investments.
Stay informed on requirements related to Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) utilization, environmental regulations, and smart city initiatives that influence procurement strategies.
Coordinate with government affairs and compliance teams to address political or regulatory risks and facilitate engagement during AMI rollouts.
Technical Expertise and Market Knowledge
Maintain extensive knowledge of AMI platforms, communication networks (RF, cellular, mesh), meter technologies (mechanical, ultrasonic, electromagnetic), and their application in diverse municipal environments.
Provide competitive intelligence and market feedback to product, marketing, and engineering teams to support roadmap decisions and continuous improvement in the metering portfolio.
Track competitor offerings in the AMI space and identify differentiation strategies based on performance, integration, and customer outcomes.
Assist in the negotiations of large utility contractual arrangements, both with Vendor Partners and Owner/Clients.
Collaboration and Reporting
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, marketing, and customer support to ensure successful implementation of AMI and metering solutions.
Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, opportunity forecasting, and customer relationship records using CRM tools.
Deliver detailed reports and dashboards on sales performance, bid activity, and technology trends.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of sales or business development experience in the water, utilities, or infrastructure sector.
Proven success in selling smart metering and AMI solutions to municipalities or public sector clients.
Strong technical competence in metering technologies, AMI systems, and water distribution operations.
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Willingness to travel nationally (up to 50%).
Preferred Qualifications:
Established relationships within the AMI, metering, or water technology ecosystem, including manufacturers, consultants, and utility partners.
Experience navigating public procurement processes and long municipal sales cycles.
Familiarity with AMI software platforms, network architecture, GIS integration, and data analytics related to meter data management and utility operations.
Professional Engineering license preferred but not required.
This is a salary plus bonus eligible role. The estimate annual compensation range is $150,000 - $200,000+

This role designs and maintains enterprise dashboards, data models, and integrations to drive consistency, accuracy, and visibility in facility performance reporting and long-range planning.

Job description
Serve as a subject matter expert in a specialized area of Facilities Management, providing strategic insight, advanced analysis and technical expertise to enhance operational efficiency.
Design, build, and maintain advanced dashboards using Power BI or Tableau, transforming complex facilities data into actionable insights for internal partners and executive leadership.
Lead data mapping and integration efforts across disparate facilities management systems, ensuring consistent, accurate, and scalable data pipelines for enterprise reporting.
Develop and manage BI data models, including SQL-based transformations, ETL design, API integrations, data governance, security protocols, and performance optimization for real-time analytics and long-range planning.
Create and administer facility survey tools and reporting frameworks, enabling standardized field data collection and continuous improvement tracking.
Support corporate initiatives through data-driven decision-making, process optimization and vendor performance management.
Monitor and advise on budgets, capital planning, financial reports, vendor contracts, expenditures, and purchase orders related to facility operations, ensuring cost control and alignment with company objectives.
Prepare and deliver consolidated reports, including key performance indicators and periodic reviews of all facility activities, to support strategic decision-making and ensure alignment with company goals.
Act as a trusted advisor to internal partners, including executives and cross-functional teams, by providing strategic recommendations and insight into Facilities Management standard processes.
Support vendor management, including reviewing contracts, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and verifying the accuracy of completed work and proposals.
Ensure consistent and high-quality delivery of facility services, including maintenance, operational support, safety, and compliance.
Maintain strict adherence to company compliance standards, as well as Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
Leverage data and analytics to enhance service delivery, equipment reliability, and operational performance.
Identify and implement best practices for cost reduction, operational improvement, and long-term facility planning.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Preferred Education and Experience
3+ years' relevant experience preferably within Real Estate and Facilities at a corporate level.
Bachelor's degree in facilities management, business management, technical facilities, or a similar field preferred.
Experience with Advanced Excel, Power BI or Tableau
Experience with SQL-based transformations, ETL design, API integrations, data governance, security protocols, and performance optimization for real-time analytics and long-range planning.
Experience managing/supporting multi-location industrial or retail portfolios with a focus on operational improvement.
Exceptional ability in Communication, Organizing, Group Problem Solving, Teamwork, Relationship Building, Time Management and Communication both written and verbally.
Ability to engage effectively with partners at all levels, internal and external, including the Executive Leadership Team, and act as a strategic advisor.
Perform with a strong sense of urgency, with high expectations, around driving costs from the company P&L and best preparing Ferguson for future growth.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Ferguson is currently seeking an Industrial Turnaround Sales Support Representative to fill an immediate need. This role is approved to be fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.
Responsibilities
As an Industrial Turnaround Inside Sales Representative, you will:
Serve as a key support resource for the Outside Sales and Turnaround team by providing accurate quotations, order processing, and personalized customer service
Coordinate directly with turnaround customers, warehouse operations, and on-site personnel to ensure materials and services are delivered on time and accurately
Update customer account information, track job-specific material requirements, and provide responsive communication throughout project timelines
Develop strong working relationships with vendors and suppliers to meet turnaround demands
Assist with project documentation, reporting, and job closeout requirements
Manage customer information through Ferguson's systems and support account needs both in-person and online
Travel to customer sites and branch locations as needed to support turnaround projects and ensure customer satisfaction
Be on-call 24/7 during active turnaround projects to respond immediately to urgent customer orders, delivery needs, and problem resolution. This is a critical function of the role and essential to supporting our customers' operations.
Understand the seasonality of turnarounds: during peak project seasons, extended hours, travel, and urgent support will be required. In between turnarounds, the role focuses on preparation, planning, and supporting ongoing customer needs.
Qualifications
2-3 years of sales or customer support experience is highly preferred
Prior experience with turnarounds, shutdowns, or industrial services is a plus
Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with refinery, chemical, or industrial plant environments
Goal driven, team oriented, and self-motivated
Strong relationship-building skills with both customers and internal teams
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
Professional, courteous, and articulate with customers and vendors

Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction science, architecture, or a similar field and 2+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Ability to create BIM/VDC models and update with current construction documents and specifications.
Spoolgen, Inventor, Plant 3D, Revit and Auto CAD Software experience is highly preferred
A high degree of integrity, superior attention to detail, and the ability to think critically.
Requires a fundamental understanding of mechanical systems and equipment.
Ability to discuss projects with customers and facilitate open communication.
Strong time management and organizational skills are essential.
