Program Summary:
The Materials Graduate Leadership Development Program (GLDP) is a structured, 18-24 months rotational program designed to develop future leaders within Peckham Industries' materials businesses. Participants rotate through core functional areas including quarry operations, plant administration, environmental compliance, quality control, safety, HMA operations, and sales.
The program combines hands-on field experience, formal training, mentorship, and leadership development. Upon successful completion, graduates are expected to be prepared to assume a leadership role such as Assistant Plant Manager at one of Peckham's materials operations.

The Assistant Golf Professional will assist the Head Golf Professional and other golf operations staff in all golf related activities and ensuring members and guests receive outstanding customer service with a goal of exceeding expectations. This position is instrumental in organizing and implementing golf events, tournaments, clinics, and other golf programs designed to be the best in the industry. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure daily operation of the Golf Operations department are carried out in a professional and efficient manner.
Ensure procedures are followed to open, close, and secure all buildings and storage units.
Complete daily set-up/breakdown of all range equipment, amenities, and activities.
Ensure closing duties are completed and assist golf services staff as needed: removing range furniture, washing golf balls, restocking buckets, cleaning of carts (prior to parking in cart barn), plug all carts into a charging station.
Greet all members in a timely and courteous manner.
Assist golfers with pre-golf check-in and record and charge appropriately into the POS.
Monitor all play to include but not limited to starting and course advising.
Ensure accurate tracking of types of golf rounds played, customer preferences, usage patterns, and member satisfaction.
Plan and conduct private instruction, group lesson programs and clinics to include, but not limited to juniors, ladies, and beginners.
Assist members with repair, maintenance and storage of clubs.

Manage the Golf Shop and be fully knowledgeable of golf shop merchandise.

Qualifications

Holds a Class A Certification through PGA/LPGA, or working towards Class A membership in good standing with PGA.
Knowledge of Golf Genius Tournament Software and Jonas or TEI POS systems
Prior assistant golf professional experience at luxury private golf facilities or resort, preferred.
Proven performance in one or more of the core skills: teaching, playing, tournament administration, retail, interpersonal communication, personnel and facilities management.
Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations.
Fundamental supervisory practices and principles.
