Maintain familiarity and meet minimum requirements as indicated by the ND Child Care Center Early Childhood Services -Chapter 75-03-10, Licensing Rules and Regulations. Adhere to these policies to the best of your ability. Attend the appropriate amount of certified training annually. Conduct self in an appropriate manner in order serve as a role model to young children, parents, colleagues, and the community. Maintain good personal hygiene and dress professionally for work. Assist in attaining staff cooperation and team effectiveness. Suggest constructive, appropriate ways of handling problems as they arise. Be respectful and courteous to children, families, coworkers, and visitors. Maintain good communication with all members of the Learning Center. Attend and participate in staff orientations and meetings. The day-to-day responsibilities of the food service employee may require lifting food storage containers and milk bags into the milk machine. Individuals should be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent education. Successful completion of Criminal Background Check-includes fingerprinting. Upon being hired, enrollment in ND Growing Futures training program for childcare professional development, including a basic childcare course and a mandated reporter training. CPR/First Aid/AED training within the first 60 days of employment. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment. Preferred Qualifications 6 months or greater of food service experience to include knowledge of food service and safety standards to ensure meals are served in a safe and hygienic environment. ServSafe Certification. Knowledge regarding child development, specifically related to children ages 18 months to 5 years old. Enrollment in ND Growing Futures training program for childcare professional development, including a basic childcare course and a mandated reporter training. CPR/First Aid/AED certification
