Provides interim management for surgical service patients until morning handoff to the primary surgical team. 4. Evaluates, diagnoses, and manages acute changes in condition for hospitalized patients. 5. Orders and interprets diagnostic tests and prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions. 6. Maintains detailed and accurate documentation of all assessments, interventions, and communications. 7. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members, including nursing, surgical, and ancillary staff, to ensure safe and efficient care transitions. 8. Communicates significant overnight events to the incoming daytime hospitalist and surgical teams during handoff. 9. Adheres to Hunt Regional Healthcare's Compliance Plan and Code of Conduct, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times. 10. Participates in ongoing education, competency validation, and quality improvement initiatives related to hospital medicine.
