Organized in 1886, East Trent School District #63 is believed to be the first school district in the Spokane Valley.
In 1888 the first public school house in the East Valley School District was constructed in the area now known as Otis Orchards.
The graduation for the class of 1914 was held in the Fruit Grower’s Warehouse.
A new high school wing was added to the Cobblestone School in 1918.
Otis Orchards School District became #314 in 1922 after consolidation with the Moab School District.
In 1923, “Stucco High School” was built just west of Cobblestone School.
In 1943 Otis was renumbered to Otis Orchards School District #348.
In 1957, on a site just west of the old stucco schools, red brick additions of the new Otis Orchards Elementary began.
Otis Orchards’ public schools consolidated with the East Trent School District #63 in 1959 forming the new East Valley School District #361 which included schools from Foothills, Pleasant Prairie, MilIville and the remaining Spokane Bridge Schools.
The 47th and final class of high school students graduated from Otis Orchards High School in June of 1960.
While many portions of the 1960 building still stand, the 10 million dollar expansion created a new facility designed to support more than 1,600 students.
As early as the mid 1970’s, talks had begun in the City of Redlands to promote the construction of a new high school.
Opening in 1989, the new high school has provided many years of service to its students and community.
Redlands’ voters finally, in the early 1990’s, passed a bond to build a new high school.
After months of design and bidding for state funds, the groundbreaking ceremony took place on September 22, 1995.
On September 9, 1997, the long awaited vision became reality as 2,059 students from three grades (9-11) stepped onto the campus to be the first students ever to attend Redlands East Valley High School.
East Valley High School opened in 2006, it is located at 5525 Vineland Avenue in the North Hollywood area of Los Angeles, California.
In the spring of 2014, the school's Knowledge Bowl team placed first in the Regional competition and second in the 2A division in Arlington, WA in the state tournament.
For the first time in East Valley history, in the Spring of 2015, the team placed first in the Regional competition and 2A division in Arlington, WA in the state tournament.
The following year, in the Spring of 2016, the team again placed first in the Regional competition and 2A division in Arlington, WA in the state tournament.
