Part time, as needed, NEDP certified advisors/assessors needed for regional program. The National External Diploma Program (NEDP) provides students with a path towards high school completion. It is an ideal program for students who are motivated and self-directed. Students work individually with an assessor to demonstrate high school level mastery of skills.
This position must have flexibility and ability to maintaining an active case load is essential. The successful candidate must be available to clients at any EASTCONN location, including but not limited to Willimantic, Danielson, Stafford, Plainfield, and Hebron. Must be available for a variety of days and times to meet in person with clients at least every other week during the academic year.
Staff availability and client progress must be updated and reviewed on a regular basis. Attending a minimum of 2 on-site program meetings a year in addition to conference calls and state meetings is required.
All staff must be NEDP writing certified as well as complete any required NEDP training.
All staff need to comply with the NEDP requirements while demonstrating appropriate efforts to maintain clients and create an environment that is welcoming to and supportive of the NEDP student.
