Full-time Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of the Chief Facility and Fleet Officer, the Rest Area Supervisor is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the rest area operations, as well as supervision of the Rest Area Attendants and any Job Coaches assigned to a service recipient.
Responsible for completing necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
Assure that all rest area operations meet the requirements of the contract with the Department of Transportation/Community Rehabilitation Agencies of Tennessee
Comply with Easter Seals Policies and Procedures and Employee Handbook, including the reporting of any incidents involving a service recipient and/or job coach, comply with HIPAA, Title VI, and Confidentiality requirements
Attend in-service training sessions, meetings, and out of town activities as required
Promote a positive work environment by treating staff and visitors with courtesy and respect
Receive and schedule time off requests with the approval of the Director of Transportation
Maintain a two week inventory of all supplies necessary for the daily operation of the rest areas per contract and within budget
Supervise the work of all Rest Area employees and perform all necessary job performance documentation as required
Perform quality inspections on each employee at least once a month to ensure that all duties meet the required quality standards and provide written documentation of all findings
Provide 24 hour on call coverage for the East and West side rest areas
Notify the Director of Transportation and the District Representatives of TDOT of the schedule in advance of each month
Monitor the work of the waste water specialist and report any problems to the Director of Transportation
Monitor the work of any service recipients who are present at the site training for competitive employment
Schedule all employees
Ensure that all purchase order requests are submitted in a timely manner
Use proper reporting procedures when reporting vandalism, accidents, theft, etc. that involve rest area visitors and /or property
Keep a daily log of all personnel on site available for review. This log will contain notations of time, dates, staff present and details of unusual activities such as accidents, theft, vandalism, etc.
Notify Director of Transportation of any safety issues and take immediate steps to correct any conditions that pose a serious health and safety threat
Provide pertinent information and feedback in an ongoing process regarding employee's performance in all work duties through Easter Seals performance review process
All other duties as assigned by Director of Transportation

The picnic tables and pavilions are to be cleaned each morning and as needed

Stock brochure racks as necessary at the beginning of each shift
Report all incidents of vandalism, theft, accidents, etc. to the Supervisor, agency on-call person, and the proper law enforcement authorities immediately
Each attendant is responsible for following all safety/health/sanitation procedures and for immediately reporting unsafe practices to the Supervisor and the Director of Protection from Harm. Safety equipment includes the use of safety glasses, masks, gloves, and other equipment as specified
The third shift attendants will remain as visible as possible after dark to curb vandalism, theft, and accidents, etc. The duties shall be limited to the general building area. If the attendant is not performing actual cleaning duties, the attendant will be stationed at the area designated by the TDOT. All attendants are responsible for taking measures to curb vandalism, theft, and accidents regardless of the shift they work.

Act as the liaison between Easter Seals and the families/conservators of persons served
Ensure professional and timely communication with ISC, DIDD and other funders
Ensure that communication is well documented
Work collaboratively with the case management team to ensure each program participant has a comprehensive and accurate record
Work collaboratively with the scheduler to ensure all shifts are filled according to the LON and regulations
Work collaboratively with other residential managers to address program needs
Provide on-call supervision to address issues that arise in the homes outside of regular business hours
Work in the homes to cover open shifts or emergency staffing needs
Work collaboratively with other department managers to address agency and programmatic goals
Work collaboratively with HR to institute retention strategies
Complete unannounced supervisory visits as required by funders
Ensure that all staff documentation, including fire drills, site visits, and daily notes, is completed on time

Education
Associates' degree related to social services or management
