Responsibilities
Provide and ensure compliance within the Early Head Start Home Base services.
Develop, maintain and track all Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP) and Individual Education Plans (IEP), children's progress reports and all record-keeping documentation in cooperation with Head Start Performance Standards.
Work collaboratively with staff and parents about issues related to atypical behavior or development and the individual needs of children.
Conduct on site behavioral screenings on children within 45 days of enrollment.
Identify resources in the community and secure Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) with each agency.
Assist in the development and presentation of staff in-service trainings regarding early intervention, and other related topics as directed.
Attend IFSP/IEP meetings as directed.

Qualifications
Knowledge of policies and procedures of the California Department of Education, Child Development Division and the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing program regulations, funding terms and conditions (Title 5 and Title 22).
Bachelor's degree or higher in related field of Psychology, Child Development, or Special Education.
Must have successfully completed an Infant toddler class from an accredited college with a B grade or better.
Ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written skills, and work cooperatively with a variety of individuals and groups. Must relate well to children and their families.
Exercise sound judgment, establish and meet timelines, plan. Coordinate and implement school site programs.
Possession of pediatric (infant/toddler) CPR and first aid certificate.

Responsibilities
Assists individuals with their assessments, planning, and the evaluation process. May support individuals in preparing for and attending meetings with their support team, as well as advocating and facilitating changes to the service plan as necessary.
Assists in the development and implementation of an Individual Service Plan (ISP) consistent with the individual's personal goals. Maintains required documentation and data, including ISP's, quarterly and annual evaluations, and case notes. Follows procedures, standards, guidelines, and best practices established in designated services; and adheres and complies with applicable regulations external to the organization, to ensure health and safety of individuals and service line associates, compliance and quality of services. Attends in-service trainings and adheres and meetings as required.

EXPERIENCE:
Four to six (4-6) years of related experience is preferred. One year experience working with individuals with challenging behavior is required for positions that will support behavioral services.Or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training to perform the job successfully.

Conduct behavior assessments and functions as an Assessor when needed.
This position will provide quality, clinical supervision and work directions to program managers and interventionists providing discipline-specific treatment for children with developmental delays, disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders (ASD).Facilitate behavior programs based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Provide parent education, develop and deliver specific intervention activities according to the treatment plan, and monitor development of children in natural settings.
