Purpose of position: Under general supervision, operate company trucks to deliver our products to customers
Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each employee in the job title:
Operate company trucks on public roads to transport, load and unload material to EMS customers
Operate vehicle in compliance with all local, state, federal and company rules and in accordance with generally accepted practices of safe driving
Complete a driver's logbook and vehicle inspection report according to DOT regulations
Inspect vehicle and required equipment to determine safe operating conditions prior to departure
Review shipping papers for nature of load and special handling requirements if any
Check load to determine if it's properly secured and safe
Backup truck to loading platform; turn narrow corners; negotiate narrow passageways; keep truck under control particularly on wet or icy highways
Wear safety equipment when handling material
Safely load and unload cargo as required
Maintain the truck in a clean and safe manner on trailer
Keep tarp clean, neat, folded, and secured
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
Qualifications:
Class "B" CDL driver's license
Preferably 3 years of experience
No more than one major traffic violation within the past 5 years
Lift and carry heavy material at least 75 lbs.; climb on and off a flatbed trailer
Perform basic math
Read a tape measure

Perform duties required to maintain grain quality while being stored and/or transferred.

Complete documentation timely, accurately and legibly.

5+ years of journeyman level electrical experience.

• Oversee and coordinate plant operations in alignment with company policies and procedures, ensuring the production of products that meet quality, cost, volume, and service goals, all under the guidance of the Plant Manager
• Develop and implement plans and processes to minimize manufacturing costs by optimizing the use of employees, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital
• Responsibility for ensuring that staffing and competency levels are achieved/exceeded in all aspects of the manufacturing process by establishing, managing and maintaining a well-trained motivated staff.
• Work closely with functional departments to ensure coordination between purchasing, quality, maintenance and finance.
• Maintain individual skills, keeping up to date with latest production, technological changes and production management
• Remove waste and constraints from the production process to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity
• Collaborate with Sales and Quality Divisions to develop and bring to market new products (Collaborate with technical services).
• Partner with the Purchasing to develop and improve supplier relationships for all Plant inputs
• Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical electrical, or process Engineering, Operation's Management (or other technical field) preferred or Associate's Degree in a technical field plus commensurate experience.
• Five to ten years of progressive manufacturing experience with leadership responsibilities in Plant Operations, Maintenance Processes, Project Management, Manufacturing job estimating, and Financial Management, all preferably in a food/cheese environment.
• Knowledge of lean principles, Black Belt is a plus
• SQF experience
• ERP knowledge and experience is required. ERP implementation experience is a plus.
• Must have the ability to plan, set objectives and goals, prioritize, measure performance, provide direction and meet deadlines.
• Decision making and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment
Work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts which may require special safety precautions working around moving machines in production facilities, Protective clothing or gear such as goggles, gloves and shoes may be required.
Physical Demands
Work requires some physical strain such as long periods standing and walking in production facility, and lifting of moderately heavy items such as test equipment kits and product cases. Other physical demands include climbing, crouching, and reaching.

Mill One Pass Operator - 3rd Shift

As a Mill Operator at Steel Technologies, you will review production orders to determine appropriate setup and operation of the mill. In this role, it's important for you to be detailed and consistent in order to ensure only the best result for our customers. We rely on this position to continuously meet quality and customers standards.
How you'll contribute to our company:
* Make and inspect mill set-up to ensure compliance with production instructions
* Reconcile coil identity to production and load coil
* Set-up Automatic Gauge Control (AGC) system and ensure correct calibration
* Thread coil through mill, cropping non-compliance material
* Review gauge at coil start, finish, and adjust mill if needed in order to ensure accuracy
* Maintain production and quality standards by assuring complying gauge, width, finish, camber, and hardness
* Communicate non-compliance production or quality problems to supervisor and/or shift lead
* Document at order end and record all necessary production information
* Operate forklift and/or overhead crane to transport materials to and from storage areas, workstations and working within areas of assignment
* Band/secure coil and identify coil in compliance with production and attach histogram to coil as required
* Remove scrap from machine and empty hoppers as needed
* Clean machine and surrounding area
