Forklift Operator / Receiving
Eastern Metal Supply has immediate openings for experienced and reliable Warehouse Professionals that can safely operate a forklift, pull and bundle orders and load/unload trucks.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Receive, process, check, measure and unload material
Examine material for deterioration and defects, report findings
Input material data into computer system and assign location
Picking and pulling multi line orders
Staging and loading orders onto trucks
Operate a standup 4 Directional Raymond forklift
Perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Read a tape measure
Stand for extensive periods of time
Must be able to bend, reach upwards or outwards, twist, turn around and climb up
Perform job tasks repetitiously at a very fast pace
Maintain regular, predictable attendance
Lift heavy objects, 50-75 lbs. with and without assistance

BASIC PURPOSE To provide a safe and reliable fleet by performing preventative maintenance and proper repairs on all fleet equipment.
Reefer Mechanic will be responsible for the troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of the Fleet road equipment including tractor, trailer, thermo-king, converter dolly and maintenance vehicles. Ensure compliance with all State and Federal trucking regulations. Reefer Mechanics will also be responsible for the documentation, completion, and to keep current the maintenance logs for all repairs and parts used daily.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel reefer equipment (THERMO KING & CARRIER TRAILER REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS, Reefer Microprocessors, etc.).
Perform preventative maintenance within manufacturer standards.
Mentor other maintenance shop personnel.
Receive road calls, assign third party vendor, and work with business partners on plan of action.
Utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must have 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician. TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications.
Must be willing to travel and attend training provided by US Foods.
Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to reefer equipment repairs.
Successfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must furnish own personal hand tools.
Ability to read and understand technical and online service manuals.

What You Will Do

Purpose
Ability to machine, mill, and grind various types of metals. Primarily 1st shift schedule, could include 2nd, 3rd, split shifts, weekends, holidays, 12 hour shifts. Daily work activity is directed by the Group Leader and a Maintenance Machinist A. Reports directly to the department Manager.
Job Responsibilities
Performs all tasks under general supervision.
Provides training and assistance to less experienced Machinists.
Assumes ownership of work task and demonstrates initiative to get work completed.
Creates and reworks machinery and equipment components according to requisition documentation, blueprints, or other drawings.
Sets up equipment operation feed, speed and temperature.
Follows established procedures for operating various conventional and/or CNC (computerized numerical control) manufacturing equipment for tasks such as cutting, punching, forming, drilling, tapping, turning, milling, grinding, and stamping to fabricate, form or shape manufactured parts, tools or parts assemblies from raw materials.
Selects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing.
Performs reworking and machining of new and spare production parts for departments.
Repairs maintenance parts as needed.
Verifies the accuracy of work by using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and various measuring instruments.
Order and maintain project related material as required.
Assist with keeping neat and orderly records on work performed and repairs made.
Work with Engineering, Production Team Leads, Managers, Group Leaders, and fellow tradesmen to accomplish the desired result.
Adjust schedule and work hours to accomplish the desired result, must be able to work weekends and holidays as required.

Check all manifests scheduled for delivery
Make sure all drivers are present and understand their assignments for the day
Arrange for a substitute driver if a driver is absent
Review driver call in log from previous day for picking and loading errors
Ensure RMA's are reconciled correctly.
Solve problems from the night shift the day before
Run manifest reports for the day
