Brian D’Isernia started his career as a lawyer after graduating from Fordham University School of Law and passing the New York State Bar. However, after a few years in the law business, he decided to change careers and opened a commercial fishing business. Within 8 years, he was the Founder and Owner of a four vessel commercial fishing enterprise. He eventually progressed from commercial fishing into vessel construction, opening the shipyard in 1976. The shipyard remains his primary focus today, although he is involved in several other ventures including the construction of the Hope Town Inn & Marina in Abaco, Bahamas http://hopetownmarina.com and the expansion of the Sandy Creek Airport and Runway in Panama City, FL. In addition to his law degree, Mr. D’Isernia also holds a degree in Economics from Georgetown University. Mr. D’Isernia has been married to the love of his life, Miriam “Mimi”, for over forty years and they have 10 children together, several of which work at the shipyard today. They are now also blessed with grandchildren, whom they enjoy spending time with. Mr. D’Isernia’s love of family has also carried over to the shipyard, as Eastern’s dedicated employees have a hard working, family oriented shipbuilding philosophy. In August 2015, Mr. D’Isernia’s son, Joey D’Isernia became President of Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc., with Mr. D’Isernia remaining as Chief Executive Officer.

Kenneth R. Munroe began his marine industry career in 1974, working as a fishing vessel Captain on two Long-line fishing vessels which he operated successfully from Brownsville, Texas to Newfoundland, Canada. He joined Eastern Shipbuilding Group in 1979, becoming the Outfitting Superintendent, performing all the testing and trials for completion of over 100 vessels. He graduated to his present position through a variety of management positions with Eastern including Purchasing Agent, Estimator and General Manager. In 1984, he was promoted to Vice President of Sales and Marketing and was fully responsible for the estimating and management of the project bids, as well as the execution of the contracts resulting from the bids. In 1997, he was promoted to Vice President for Eastern, responsible for managing all departments in both of Eastern’s shipyard facilities. In 2011, Mr. Munroe was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the administration of Eastern’s commercial and government businesses. Together with Mr. D’Isernia he continues to be a prime decision maker during the dynamic growth of Eastern, which had actual sales exceeding $250 million in 2016.
