What you'll do: PRIMARY FUNCTION: Primary responsibility to oversee the Receiving Inspection Quality team. Acts as working supervisor, providing guidance and training. Coordinating all activities of the operation in ensuring that products or services meet established standards of quality, reliability, and performance. Set tasks and priorities; support audits, provide technical support, analysis, and customer/contract support. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: A. Manage a team of 5 or more direct reports (Inspectors) to achieve operational targets & objectives. B. Oversee production activities and establish production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors. C. Understanding of California compliance and labor law as it relates to hourly personnel. D. Develops, motivates, and coaches team members; as well as support and participate in interviews for potential new hires. E. Evaluates operational performance of the group to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, job transfers, dismissals, commendations, etc. F. Identify and implement methods and practices to achieve steady improvement in efficiency, quality, service, and continuous improvement in operating profits. G. Assist in creation and managing of training plans and programs and promote cross-training opportunities. H. Promote a Quality, Safety and Continuous Improvement culture by demonstrating ownership and accountability throughout the supported value streams. I. Coordinate and monitor production process to ensure compliance with quality standards. J. Ensure appropriate quality processes and tools are in place and being utilized consistently, facilitating training as appropriate. K. Ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities. L. Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates to plan department operations. M. Maintain, troubleshoot, and validate CMM equipment for the Receiving Inspection and Machine Shop areas. N. Identify and recommend appropriate gaging technology for specific features and tolerances. O. Write and execute CMM programs, design and order fixturing for part layouts, capability studies, and first/last piece inspections for current and new products. P. Attend training sessions as necessary for software updates and improvements. Q. Assist Quality Engineers, Supervisor and Quality Manager in the continuous improvement of the CMM support service. R. Support Measurement System Analysis activities such as Gage R&Rs. S. Recognize and recommend potential savings and process improvements. T. Support company quality manual and AS9100 requirements to maintain compliance. U. Maintain clean equipment and work area. V. Prepare operational schedule and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications. W. Collaborate with peers and supervisors to determine key goals and objectives, and corresponding metrics, to be completed during a determined period. Review and amend these actions as appropriate. X. Coordinates and assists with business initiatives, participating on teams to drive best practices across enterprise including but not limited to understanding, supporting, promoting, and improving the processes that are followed in Eaton's quality assurance initiatives and Environmental, Health, and Safety. Y. Other duties as assigned. * This role must report on-site M-F 7 am - 4 pm at our Camarillo, CA location. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: * Bachelors or Associates degree from an accredited institution.
