Role summary
As a strategic partner to the Chief of Staff, the SeniorBusinessOperations lead is accountable for accelerating decision-making, driving organization-level programs, maintaining operational rigor, and safeguarding organizational health. Working across multiple collaborators (finance, HR, engineering, product, design, analytics etc), this senior IC role owns operational efficiencies that allows the engineering organization to scale.
Core responsibilities
Serve as the Chief of Staff's right-hand: surface risks and tradeoffs, prepare decision materials, and recommend approaches.
Translate strategy into concrete, prioritized execution plans with clear success metrics and resourcing assumptions.
Own complex, cross-functional programs from definition to business outcomes: scope, milestones, resourcing, budget, risk management, and communications.
Lead organizational health programs (engagement surveys, Glint action plans, pulse metrics) and translate org health signals into prioritized action plans and measurable improvements.
Co-lead planning for headcount and budget in partnership with Finance and People teams; coordinate hiring prioritization and requisition tracking for org
Own the organizations' recruiting strategy and operational efficiency, ensuring we provide continuous and actionable status to leadership. Define and implement the hiring governance model;own continuous reporting to ensure progress (weekly dashboards, blockers, forecasted starts, time-to-ramp); Run retrospectives on hiring cycles to reduce time-to-hire, improve offer acceptance and increase quality of hires.
Required qualifications
8+ years of experience in businessoperations, program management, product operations, engineering operations or equivalent; significant experience partnering with engineering organizations.
Demonstrated experience operating as a senior strategic partner to an engineering or product leader and driving cross-functional programs to completion.
Strong analytical fluency - Ability to derive insight from data and translate to recommendations.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; exceptional at storytelling and presentations.
Proven ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize competing demands and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
Experience with organizational health programs, HR/People partnerships, and handling sensitive/confidential matters.
MBA or technical MS is a plus.

The applicable base pay range for this position is dependent on work location. The base pay range in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City Metro and Seattle Metro is expected in the range below:
$166,000 - $221,600
The base pay range for all other U.S. work locations is expected in the range below:
$126,800 - $204,000
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). eBay Live is redefining how sellers engage customers through real-time commerce. We're hiring a SeniorManager, Scaled Seller Enablement to build and operationalize solutions to reduce friction for our Live Sellers at scale. As an Individual Contributor on the Product & Operations team, you will operate as an internal consultant hyper-focused on building operational processes and informing product roadmaps that will help our unmanaged sellers succeed. $103,600 - $177,800
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.
