Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Welder/Assembler to perform a variety of tasks as assigned in conjunction with the assembly of our product. You will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. This position is responsible for safely performing high-level continuous work to quality standards. Assignments may change based on business demands.
Responsibilities:
• Assemble pumps as per specifications.
• Test pumps as per specifications.
• Repair/Rebuild pumps and ancillary equipment.
• Assist in paint department when needed.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Assist other department with labor needs as required.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience in a Welding or Assembly setting.
Core Competencies:
• Experience using various hand and measurement instruments.
• Experience with PVC pipe systems or assemblies
• Experience with using SAP or other computer systems on work floor.
• Basic electrical knowledge
• Basic mechanical ability
• Ability to read/understand specifications, production packets, drawings, etc.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability and interest to be forklift certified.
• Willing to learn and perform tasks relating to Paint function.
• Experience with or demonstrated ability to use a computer for data entry.
• Communication skills -ability to interact with all levels of management, staff and labor.

Preferences:

Pay Range:

What you'll do
Position and align parts in specified relationships using fixtures or holding devices.
Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as soldering, bonding, epoxy application, curing, laser welding, and pneumatic machinery operation.
Install finished assemblies into cases and perform inline testing and inspection.
Mount components like resistors, capacitors, and integrated circuits; connect wires via soldering.
Adjust and trim materials to meet electrical or dimensional specifications.
Read and interpret schematics and blueprint drawings.
Cross-train on multiple programs and perform repair/rework operations.
Complete work under close supervision and follow detailed instructions.

What you need

Creates plans for the disassembly and repair per the assembly procedures, following specifications provided and using knowledge gained by experience.
Verifies conformance of parts to stock list and blueprints using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers. Inspect parts to quality standards.
Aligns components for assembly, manually or with a crane.
Removes high spots and smooths surfaces using chisels, scrapers, files, and powered hand grinder. Assemble, set up, and operates machines to verify functionality, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer's specifications.
Form, bend, and fasten piping, fixtures, and attachments required to provide the machine with air, water, and oil. May bend and install pipe for hydraulic systems.
Verifies alignment and tolerances of moving parts using measuring instruments such as dial indicators and micrometers.
Installs moving parts such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and works them to test free movement and operation of assembly by hand. Test or assist in testing operation of completed product.
Align and mesh gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears.
Mounts and connects auxiliary, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic equipment. Cuts and fits pipes and tubing.
Test, or assist in testing, operation of completed product.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Solid mechanical skills. Must have mechanical ability to proficiently use cranes and other heavy tools and equipment that are normally required in daily assembly and disassembly operations.
Must own tools of the trade, and be able to use them effectively.
Ability to use judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions as to the sequence of operations and processes within the limitations of established or standard methods and procedures.
Must be able to interpret prints well enough to determine appropriate disassembly sequence for a variety of heavy equipment.
Ability to read, interpret a variety of assembly prints, and understand verbal and written instructions.
Capable of using small machine tools, drill presses, welders, cranes, and forklifts.
Basic computer skills and the ability to use basic shop math.
Ability to verbally communicate with team members, supervisors, and engineers.
Possess the physical strength and ability to safely handle heavy equipment and tools.
Ability to bend tubing, lube, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

**Job Description**
**Build precision components for advanced electronic systems!** Teledyne is seeking an Assembler to join our team in Miamisburg, OH. In this role, you'll assemble electronic components and subassemblies with accuracy and care, supporting critical applications in aerospace and defense.
**What you'll do**
+ Position and align parts in specified relationships using fixtures or holding devices.
+ Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as soldering, bonding, epoxy application, curing, laser welding, and pneumatic machinery operation.
+ Install finished assemblies into cases and perform inline testing and inspection.
+ Mount components like resistors, capacitors, and integrated circuits; connect wires via soldering.
+ Adjust and trim materials to meet electrical or dimensional specifications.
+ Read and interpret schematics and blueprint drawings.
+ Cross-train on multiple programs and perform repair/rework operations.
+ Complete work under close supervision and follow detailed instructions.
+ Support intermittent overtime, typically on Fridays.
**What you need**
+ High school diploma or equivalent (required).
+ 6-24 months of industrial experience or similar training (preferred).
+ Ability to read schematics and assembly prints; familiarity with wiring, welding, bonding, and soldering (preferred).
+ Ability to obtain IPC/J-STD Certification within 90 days of hire (required).
+ Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 standards (preferred).
+ Ability to obtain an ATF Possessor Permit.
+ Intermediate computer skills (MS Office, Excel, Outlook).
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen due to Department of Energy requirements (required).
**Physical requirements**
+ Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
+ Some bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 10 lbs.
+ Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

Primary Activities/Duties:
Assemble components and products according to work instructions, blueprints, and specifications.
Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete assembly tasks.
Perform visual checks to ensure parts and assemblies meet quality standards.
Package finished products and prepare them for shipment or further processing.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 6-S and safety standards.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team meetings.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.

Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the shift.
Lift 25-50 pounds to waist level and up to 25 pounds above shoulder level.
Work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing assignments.
Ability to read and follow written instructions and diagrams in English.
Basic computer skills; ability to learn and use software systems as needed.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
