These exams are very complex and involve advanced skill in echo imaging, application judgment, and advanced knowledge in cardiac anatomy. The EchocardiographTechnician/Sonographer must have advanced knowledge in cardiac anatomy structure, including: normal, abnormal, surgical repairs, and shunt repairs. This position requires the ability to image: M-Mode, real-time, Doppler wave and color flow mapping, digital clipping, and must be proficient in using Cardiology Information systems and electronic medical record. This position takes call and must rotate with other Sonographers traveling to outside hospitals when requested.
This position will collaborate interdepartmentally with hospital operations and outpatient service departments. CPR Certification is required. Responsible for complying with an effective hospital-wide program for surveillance, prevention, and infection control. Recognize and advocate for each patient being an individual with unique healthcare needs. Provides considerate respectful care. Affirming the patient's rights to make decisions regarding their medical care. Responsible for complying with a safety management program designed to provide a physical environment free of hazards.

This position requires graduation from an accredited program of ultrasound (such as ARDMS) or related college, a minimum of 2 consecutive years as a registered technologist, with a strong preference to candidates with pediatric sonographer experience.

The Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer is responsible for performing Echocardiography and/or Vascular diagnostic testing as per Accreditation Guidelines. Reports preliminary findings for physician interpretation, Functions within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the organization.

* Collaboration/Communication: Communicates pertinent patient data to appropriate team members. Collaborates with other departments to provide optimum patient care.
* Equipment Resource Management: Knowledgeable of all equipment pertinent to specific area of testing. Able to perform basic trouble-shooting. Participates in evaluation of new equipment.
* Initiative: Responsible for personal professional development. Maintains registry status or actively pursues registry. Responsible for completion of annual competencies. Participates in accreditation/re-accreditation process.

Performs non-invasive peripheral vascular diagnostic examinations as ordered by the referring physician, independently evaluates normal vs. abnormal test results in correlation with patient history, previous examinations, lab results, etc. , and gives preliminary ultrasound results to attending physicians, surgeons, residents, etc. regarding any vascular ultrasound procedures as determined by site accreditation including 1. Sonographic Extracranial Carotid Duplex examination. 2. Ankle/Brachial Indices. 3. Segmental Doppler Pressures of the upper or lower extremities either with or without provocative maneuvers. 4. Sonographic Arterial Duplex examinations of the upper or lower extremities either with or without provocative maneuvers. 5. Sonographic Venous Duplex examinations of the upper or lower extremities either with or without provocative maneuvers. 6. Sonographic Doppler Venous Waveform Analysis of the upper or lower extremities for the evaluation of venous insufficiency or reflux. 7. Sonographic Duplex examinations of Hemodialysis Access Sites including AV Fistulas and AV Grafts. 8. Sonographic Venous Duplex examinations of the upper or lower extremities with concurrent venous marking and vessel evaluation for pre-surgical planning. 9. Sonographic Duplex examinations of the renal vasculature including arterial and venous structures and flow dynamics. 10. Sonographic Duplex examinations of the Mesenteric Arteries. 1 1. What you will be doing:
•Cardiovascular Sonographer with ability to perform various cardiac and vascular ultrasound examinations.
Documents accurately and in a timely manner. Communicates and collaborates with health care team members.
Adheres to organizational policy and procedures, regulatory/accrediting body requirements and professional practice standards.
Assesses patient and provides preliminary findings when appropriate to the physician.
Uses independent judgment and systematic problem solving methods to produce high quality diagnostic information to optimize patient care.
Requirements
What they are looking for:
•Associates or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred.
ARDMS (RVT and/or RDCS) or CCI (RCS and/or RVS) or registry eligible
Current CPR (BLS) certification required
Benefits
Hours and compensation potential:
•Position is for full time, day shift with on call rotation on weekends and holidays
•Range is between $60K-$91K depending on experience. Full benefit package including a 20K sign on bonus.
