The City Forester position is a supervisory skilled work position in the Park & Recreation Department. The Forester performs work in the development, rehabilitation and maintenance of trees, flowers and shrubbery on City of Youngstown property. Working Conditions: Work is normally performed indoors with adequate heat, light, and ventilation. This staff member will create dynamic and detailed lesson plans, and will be responsible for supervising volunteers each session. They will also lead the Outpost program, an adventure based overnight camping experience for teens. Team Overview: The Program Team brings the camp experience to life by creating programs, building community and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all camp participants. The team creates accessible and developmentally appropriate programs and recruits, processes, and supports a large team of volunteers and seasonal staff. The primary purpose of this position is to Performs multiple cleaning tasks in accordance with Environmental Services procedures and Hospital policies and procedures, which may include the operation of the Xenex UV Disinfecting robot as assigned.
