These core values have been instilled in our company since 1946, when Ed Morse founded Morse Motors with his father.
In 1946, Ed and his father started a small 20 car fleet rental company, Morse Motors.
The Morse family bought into their first dealership in 1961, Cecil Holland Ford in Miami, which soon became Ed Morse Ford.
So Morse spent 60 days in rehab in 2003 and now has been sober for 13 years. "It took my father to help me get out of it…. He taught me not only the are business, but how to be a man," he said.
Then in 2009, Rothstein's $1.4 billion Ponzi scheme — selling stakes in legal settlements that didn't exist — was uncovered.
Rothstein was sentenced in 2010 to 50 years in federal prison.
Ed passed away in 2012 at the age of 91, having established himself as a national icon in the automotive industry.
The eldest Morse still had an office at the company in 2012, when he died at age 91.
Teddy’s father, Ted Morse, served as Owner/Operator, Chairman, and CEO of the Ed Morse Automotive Group and was honored as the recipient of the 2015 Boca Raton Concours d’ Elegance Automotive Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing the impact that Ted had on the automotive industry.
In 2016, the automotive business recorded $1.3 billion in sales from $1 billion a year earlier.
