The Banquet General Manager provides proper training and supervision of all personnel including assistant managers and supervisors for events. The Banquet General Manager's purpose is to ensure that events and/ or activities are highly organized and well executed, resulting in the complete satisfaction of Edgewater guests attending the event. This position supervises event room set-ups, service, execution and maintenance of all banquet functions and banquet equipment. This role is a highly detailed role within the hotel to complete event requirement and create an appealing experience for guests. Position Duties Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following: Interview, hire, train and resolve service issues with staff. Supervise staff setting up function rooms, including placement of linens, silver, china, and glassware. Visually inspect event space and equipment prior to functions for cleanliness, proper inventory, and set up. Supervise clean-up of function room and proper breakdown and storage of equipment. Currently hiring for a PM cook with the opportunity to grow in this unique waterfront culinary environment, with a balance between casual and elevated, chef-driven cuisine.
