Role Description:
The Summer Intern, Clean Rivers will participate in a rotational internship experience supporting three functional areas: Critical Infrastructure Projects, Field & Data Management, and Capital Projects Planning & Construction. Through these rotations, the intern will support planning, permitting, field observations, contractor coordination, data management, and project documentation activities related to DC Water's capital and operational infrastructure projects. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to the full capital project lifecycle and contribute to reporting, tracking, and presentation materials while working alongside engineers, project managers, construction managers, and field crews.

Role Description:
The Summer Intern, Compensation will support the administration of compliance-related programs, including but not limited to Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Workers' Compensation. This role will assist with compliance processes, documentation, and clerical tasks while gaining exposure to regulatory requirements and employment compliance practices within an organizational setting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
As a summer Intern, we will provide you with:

Performance of assignments under the direct supervision of a department lead
Performance of other work-related duties as needed

Assist with the review and updating of s as part of an organization-wide project.
Ensure alignment with the organizational structure and job architecture by confirming that job titles, levels, and reporting relationships are consistent with the organization's job framework and career ladder.
Validate job description content for clarity, accuracy, and compliance with applicable standards.
Review essential functions, qualifications, physical requirements, certifications, and required licenses to ensure they are clearly stated, legally compliant, and reflective of actual job expectations.
Provide administrative and documentation support related to compensation and classification projects.
