Military Intern

This Military Recruitment intern will commence their internship with a 3-6-month training program designed to prepare you to be a 360 recruiter.
Your role:
You will utilize our ATS, LinkedIn, Zoominfo, and other resources to assist in sourcing qualified candidates and target companies.
You will complete training to learn how to execute the duties of a Sales Development Representative. This role is vital to the ongoing development and sustainment of new businesses.
You will assist your Team Mentor in identifying new opportunities within the vertical you are assigned. This includes staying up to date on the industry is critical in assisting and sourcing potential business development leads.
You will attend an in-depth facilitated training program hosted by one of the most respected training companies in the industry, Next Level Exchange. This is the same training that our full-time employees complete. Following a schedule of daily videos, quizzes, collaborative questions, role-playing, and script development, NLE facilitates the training of our new hires and interns through daily live webinar sessions with the entirety of each class.
Qualifications and Skills:
One (1) + year of administrative support experience
Currently in the military & planning to leave in the next six months
Tech Savvy: experience using Outlook, LinkedIn, Excel/Word, Teams, etc.
Malleable: your ability to adapt to our everchanging needs will be critical to success.
This person should be highly organized with keen attention to detail

**Brief Posting Description**
Responsible for safely completing all construction maintenance and restoration projects as assigned in accordance with required specifications, engineering and electric utility standards under direct supervision.

There is one position available and the position will be filled at one of five job grade levels: Lineman Trainee, job grade T1; Lineman I, job grade T2; Lineman II, job grade T3; Lineman III, job grade T4, Lineman IV, job grade T5, or Journey Level Lineman, job grade T6. **Job Requirements**
REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Training:
+ Associate degree/certificate from an accredited lineman school or related discipline or equivalent experience, which is two (2) years of electric utility line construction and/or maintenance experience, or six months of experience within Tri-State's Lineman Trainee Program.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
Ability to operate the following tools:

+ Ampmeter, Voltmeter, Megger
+ Multi-Axle Trucks, Trailers and Heavy Equipment
+ Capstan Hoist
+ Ability to climb wood pole, complete pole top rescue, know and use associated tools and equipment.
+ Ability to perform mobile equipment and transmission line inspections to identify items that do not meet Federal Motor Carriers Safety Association or transmission line maintenance standards.
+ Possess an acceptable degree of skill and judgment to safely perform job duties following standard processes and procedures.
+ Ability to exercise sound decisions following clear direction/procedure.
+ Ability to perform strenuous and physically demanding work.
Experience:
+ Zero (0) to one (1) year of practical experience or be able to demonstrate knowledge in electric utility line construction and/or maintenance.
Other:
+ Obtain and maintain CPR/First-Aid/AED certification to include pole top and bucket rescue.
+ Willing and able to work extra and irregular hours under unusual or special conditions; storms, extreme temperatures, wind, darkness, and similar conditions.
+ Possess and maintain all Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) requirements.
+ Must reside within a 60 minute response time to the base location.
+ Frequent overnight travel required.
DESIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
+ High voltage transmission line construction, operation and maintenance experience, desired.

+ _Physical demands_ : While performing the duties of this position, the employee must have good health and physical ability adequate for performing strenuous work that is performed mostly in the field including lifting and carrying equipment up to 75 lbs., climbing power line poles and steel structures, conducting pole top rescue, safely handling and operating tools including power tools, safely handling and operating trucks, trailers, digger derricks, boom cranes and other related equipment. Work is also performed in an office setting and includes computer data entry related to recording, documenting and reporting power line operations and maintenance activities.
+ _Mental demands_ : While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is required to learn and safely apply methods, techniques and procedures related to the maintenance and operation of power line facilities, tools and equipment. The incumbent is also required to use judgment in applying acquired knowledge and performing assigned duties.
+ _Work Environment:_ While performing the duties of this position, the employee is exposed to work performed outdoors under unusual or special working conditions including; storms, extreme temperatures, winds, darkness, and similar working conditions. Employee is also exposed to high voltage electrical risks associated with working around energized and de-energized power transmission lines and facilities. Incumbent is also exposed to risks associated with climbing power line poles and steel structures of varying heights.
