In this job, you'll be supervising the construction of substation and related projects. You'll oversee pre-construction project management, provide oversight and functional support for all assigned substation construction projects, and supervise Associate Project Managers while supporting assigned Project Managers in executing project activities throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning to project closure. Responsibilities * Tracks status, risks, issues, and dependencies for assigned projects to direct reports and reviews project plans and schedules to understand key milestones and deliverables. Leads multiple electric transmission projects concurrently, ensuring alignment with department goals and priorities * Assists with assembling project teams and assigning tasks and responsibilities and helps identify required skills and resources needed for the project * Compiles and analyzes data to develop project reports and presentations and presents findings and recommendations to senior project manager * Communicates with project stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback and participates in meetings to discuss project scope and requirements * Provides guidance to project managers on technical specifications, testing procedures, and integration requirements for transmission lines * Oversees and approves complex power system studies and analysis, including load flow, short circuit, and arc flash assessments for major transmission project * Reviews project commissioning and energization plans and confirms technical readiness for cut-over to live operation * A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity. Minimum Qualifications * Four or more years of combined experience performing/supervising project management support. Preferred Qualifications * Five or more years of experience in project management or project support, including performing or supervising substation construction project management support. * Experience coordinating with internal and external organizations to support task completion. * Ability to identify and mitigate challenges that may impact timely project completion * Experience managing the outage request process. * Experience with Microsoft Office * Experience with enterprise systems like SAP * Understanding of Substation construction and maintenance project management processes. * Experience reviewing and participating in the contractor bidding process. * Experience managing/mitigating matters relating to environmental compliance. * Ability to read drawings, project plans, and other construction related documentation. Additional Information * This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.     The Interim Meter Operations Supervisor manages a team of Traveling Meter Mechanics (TMMs) who are responsible for all scheduled preventive maintenance and unscheduled corrective maintenance activities on all customer meters (3-inch and larger); is responsible for the development and management of the small and large meter replacement programs, capital budgets, and meter maintenance and repair projects; and provides technical assistance to district operations staff on issues related to meters and meter operations. This position can be located in Torrance, Bakersfield, Chico, or San Jose, CA. This interim assignment will initially be for six months, but it may be extended for up to three to five years, depending on business needs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Supervises a team of traveling meter mechanics, including conducting performance reviews, and overseeing the development of staff * Directs and oversees all scheduled preventive maintenance and unscheduled corrective maintenance via the enterprise-wide Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) * Provides meter-related technical assistance to the district operations staff * Develops programs and capital budgets for small and large meter programs * Recommends and purchases small and large meters for the districts * Approves and purchases meter repair parts requisitioned by traveling meter mechanics and the districts * Participates in strategic planning to ensure that capital projects cause minimal disruption to the operations of the water system * Participates in and supports the Company's Continuous Improvement program and projects * Performs work on site at assigned location * Performs other similar duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * 5 years' experience working with flow meters or similar water metrology instruments, including calibration and repair * Familiarity with capital budgeting processes and procurement systems, CMMS software and work execution management * Proficient with standard business software products and professional communication/presentation standards * California State Water Distribution Operator II certification is desired * California State Water Treatment Operator II certification is desired * Must possess a valid California Class C Driver's license Salary Range: $87,200 - $189,400 Deadline to submit resume is Wednesday, December 17, 2025 The Equal Opportunity Policy of the Company is based upon the philosophy that all people should be treated fairly and with dignity.
