    Hearst Connecticut Media Group's journalists cover communities all over the state, serving readers across platforms, including our sites like CTInsider.com, app, newsletters, social media accounts and more for nine daily and 21 weekly newspapers. We're looking for an enterprising, audience-focused and collaborative Senior Editor of Audience who will be responsible for helping the newsroom teams build content programs and in-depth projects that grow digital subscriptions and deepen subscriber loyalty. This role will help steer the newsroom's online publishing cadence in the short and long-term. This is a new leadership role that's critical to our newsroom's success. Duties and responsibilities: Communicates quickly and effectively with editors and reporters to ensure we have excellent editorial planning, including weekly tentpole initiatives and projects for publication Supports audience growth for local news and key topics by establishing programming and best practices for each team Demonstrates a high comfort level with analyzing and interpreting metrics and uses them to inform coverage decisions in real-time and the long-term Develops the talents of staffers, offering constructive criticism of their work.
