Strong writing, public speaking, and group facilitation skills are a must. A degree in communications, public relations, urban planning, public policy, public administration or related field is preferred. Foreign degrees and credentials will be considered.
Compensation: The minimum starting pay is $70,000. The offered pay rate will be subject to experience and qualifications. GNRC provides a fully paid pension through the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System and offers a dollar for dollar match to a 401k up to 3% of gross salary. What We Can Achieve Together:
The Firewood Outreach Conservation Information Manager will work with the Forest Pest and Pathogen team to slow the spread of damaging forest pests and pathogens in the US with a focus in the Pacific Northwest (PNW) through support of TNC's longstanding outreach campaign, “Don't Move Firewood”. They will communicate and engage with governmental agencies, Tribal Nations, academic institutions, non-profits, and private entities. They will conduct work in relation to some or all of the following: online informational pages, campground reservation systems, outreach resource library, social media presence, supporting technical documentation, and layperson science communications.
Your Position with TNC:
This is a short-term temporary position with expected duration of approximately 6 months (25 weeks). All applications must be submitted in the system prior to 11:59 p.m. Eastern on 1/26/2026. Expected start date is flexible, ranging from February to March 2026 according to candidate need and schedule.
This position will require in-person activities in Washington and Oregon state. Preference will be given to candidates living in the Pacific Northwest region.

By joining our team, you will aid the dedicated national firewood communications coordinator in systematically reviewing and analyzing all state, tribal, and private entities that manage publicly accessible land or land-use within the assigned region and assess all relevant online spaces for firewood information and outreach. You will seek to communicate with and engage all relevant entities to establish rapport and develop a working relationship to determine shared needs and discuss opportunities for improved outreach. You will work collaboratively to develop a comprehensive outreach strategy to benefit Oregon and Washington forest and tree health which will take the form of custom-built action plans created for each appropriate public-facing entity interested in working with DMF. You will help analyze, write, and/or proofread semi-technical and/or layperson language documentation in various formats and present that information to partnering entities. You will be responsible for facilitating in-person and virtual meetings, webinars, and diligent follow-up correspondence with partnering entities to encourage timely implementation of the custom outreach suggestions. Occasional travel within the PNW region will be required to adequately engage partners and implement outreach action plans; all other work will be remote-work and office based. The location of the office will be flexible. You will be required to have a flexible approach to responding to administrative needs such as working to meet deadlines for reports, mailing out materials, and other tasks that arise

What You'll Bring:
Associates degree in related field and 1 year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience maintaining and populating databases, spreadsheets, digital archives, and/or shared drives.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, email platforms, cloud storage sites, and web browsers.

Salary Information:
The pay range for a candidate selected for this position is $21 to $30 per hour. Compensation will be dependent on education, experience, and location. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Job Summary
The Client Experience Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between the client and the company throughout the new business and underwriting process. This role is responsible for providing quality updates to the client, answering client questions, and ensuring a clear understanding of each step. The coordinator independently manages cases, resolves vendor issues that may arise, and will collaborate with the client to gather outstanding requirements efficiently to avoid delays. A strong knowledge of the life insurance process, excellent communication skills - both written and verbal -, and a commitment to superior customer service are essential. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Proactively follow up and provide communication to support client/advisor satisfaction and understanding; ensure the client understands each step in the process while providing superior service support direct to the client.
Manage daily workload with emphasis on time management and quality standards. Review and assess requirements, as needed.
Serve as a single point of contact with customers. Receive and resolve complex and/or sensitive customer service inquiries, complaints and problems with quality, accuracy, and in a timely manner. Proactively resolve any issues and inquiries.
Manage the necessary components for the new business process directly impacting the client. Identifying cases that need special handling. Accept ownership and suggest innovative solutions to meet branch/client needs while undertaking new and different requests. Explore opportunities to add value.
Use expertise in life insurance process, customer service, terminology, technology to support and enhance daily operations.
Provide continuous scheduled telephone coverage as business needs dictate.
Partners with Senior Case Manager to deliver a holistic experience to the branch.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of the life insurance process (permanent and term products), including key impairments
Working knowledge of desktop applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel. Knowledge of Smart Office and Salesforce.com a plus.
Critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and troubleshoot problems, and comfort with cases involving a high degree of complexity.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; clear and effective
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills to interact with internal and external clients.
Discretion while managing confidential matters (e.g., medical records)
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment while focusing on critical deliverables.
Knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations.
Comfortable in a team environment and supportive of corporate change
