**What You'll Do:**
As part of a collaborative, dedicated team, you will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of clinical activities, including working with approximately 25 clinical psychologists and neuropsychologists as well as Psychology Associates, and clinical psychology postdoctoral fellows and externs. CNaP engages in direct clinical care and pioneering research projects that advance the fields of psychology and medicine and improve patient outcomes, and support families of children with a wide range of neurodevelopmental disabilities. Common presenting concerns include ADHD, anxiety and mood concerns, specific learning disorders, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and disruptive behaviors through our Executive Function (EF), Emotion and Behavior Disorder (EBD), Development and Early Learning (DEL), Pathways to Young Adulthood (Pathways), and Targeted Assessment clinics. Patients range in age from toddler through young adulthood.
Responsibilities
1. Complete comprehensive psychological evaluations for youth with neurodevelopmental disorders in English and Spanish. This includes:
a. Conducting intake interviews to ascertain the needs of clients.
b. Selecting, administering, and scoring psychological tests (available in English and Spanish) to assess intellectual functioning, academic achievement, attention and executive functioning, memory, and socio-emotional status.
c. Interpreting test findings based upon current research in psychological assessment and available evidence-based approaches.
d. Writing comprehensive reports regarding diagnostic interpretations and next step management/strategy plans.
e. Providing interpretative information to parents and/or primary caregivers
2. Participate in weekly clinic rounds to discuss diagnoses and conceptualize treatment/management of patients with other psychologists and trainees.
3. Assist Center Co-Directors in the development of clinical initiatives.
4. Maintain productivity standards.
5. Maintain documentation and reporting standards in our electronic medical record (EMR).

**What We're Looking For:**
We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to evidence-based practices who has a genuine passion for working with children and families and can work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. A postdoctoral fellowship in psychology with emphasis on clinical assessment is preferred. This position requires the incumbent to be bilingual in English and Spanish with a proficiency level that meets the Institutes minimum standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Licensure in Maryland as a psychologist is required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish with a proficiency level that meets the Institutes minimum standards - Advanced Low for bilingual clinicians. Primary Responsibilities:
The School Psychologist will be responsible for the successful completion of the following tasks:
* Conduct thorough psychological evaluations using a variety of assessment tools and techniques for students in grades PK-12th grade.
* Administer, score, and interpret standardized tests to assess cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning;
* Compile detailed evaluation reports that include findings, recommendations, and potential interventions;
* Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to gather relevant information, provide insights based on evaluation results, and promote effective implementation of services;
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss evaluation outcomes and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs);
* Maintain accurate and confidential records of all evaluations and related documentation;
* Utilize varied models and methods of assessment and data collection for identifying strengths and needs of individual students and the broader school community, developing effective services and programs, and measuring progress and outcomes;
* Use assessment and data collection methods and to implement and evaluate services that support cognitive and academic skills, socialization, learning, and mental and behavioral health, including but not limited to behavioral supports, individual and group counseling, and social skills training;
* Provide effective professional services that promote effective functioning for individuals, families, and schools with diverse characteristics, cultures, and backgrounds and across multiple contexts, with recognition that an understanding and respect for diversity in development and learning and advocacy for social justice are foundations for all aspects of service delivery;
* Evaluate and apply research as a foundation for service delivery and, in collaboration with others, use various techniques and technology resources for data collection, measurement, and analysis to support effective practices at the individual, group, and/or systems levels;

Position Description
The School Psychologist role provides an opportunity for a talented educator to work with students with various social, emotional, and academic needs across United's four campuses. The School Psychologist will have a number of key responsibilities including the following: conducting testing and assessments for students across grades K-8; collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to provide insights and recommendations for individual education plans; designing individualized education plans to address functional and academic needs; and providing individual and group counseling to students dealing with emotional, developmental, and behavioral challenges. This position is integral in ensuring that all students have access to high-quality educational experiences.

Qualifications:
Holds a Master's degree in School Psychology; Education Specialist or Doctorate degree preferred.
Holds a valid Professional Pupil Services License as a School Psychologist from the State Board of Education in Ohio.
Has at least two years of successful school psychology experience in an urban school (preferred).

Terms of Employment

This is a full-time position.
Report times are typically Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., although some job-related tasks can be expected outside of these hours.
Salary: The starting salary for a new School Psychologist with a Master's degree is $51,000. The starting salary for other applicants will depend on professional experience and education level.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer and interpret a wide range of standardized assessment instruments to evaluate cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral functioning. Guide and support staff in administering achievement tests as needed.
Conduct comprehensive psychological and psycho-educational evaluations to inform eligibility determinations and intervention planning.
Develop and implement evidence-based interventions and instructional supports to assist in developing students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional skills.
Assist in the development, writing, and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating with school staff to ensure goals are meaningful and achievable.
Provide direct counseling services to students and consult with families, offering guidance and connecting them with additional resources when necessary.
Participate in the IEP and Section 504 processes, providing input on assessment results, intervention strategies, and student progress.
Support the implementation of systematic intervention by assisting with data collection, progress monitoring, and intervention planning.
Conduct risk assessments for students experiencing emotional or behavioral crises and collaborate with school teams to ensure appropriate interventions and supports.
Provide training and professional development to school staff on topics such as behavior management, trauma-informed practices, and mental health awareness.
Support school-wide initiatives that promote a positive school climate.
Maintain an accurate record of student caseload requirements and update the Administrator over Special Education on any changes.
Maintain a detailed schedule and service logs, and track student progress toward intervention goals.
Demonstrate professionalism in handling confidential matters and materials.
