The Department of Exceptionality Programs houses Special Education programming at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. These programs include special education teaching certification and supervisory certification, as well as endorsements and continuing education in this field of study.

Qualifying Experience and Education (Minimum/Preferred)

* An advanced degree in Special Education or a related field
* Active engagement in the professional education community
* Prior teaching and/or professional experience relevant to the education of students with exceptionalities

Position Summary:
The Agora Cyber Charter School Department Substitute Teacher is a highly qualified and Pennsylvania state-certified teacher responsible for delivering specific course content and instruction in an online environment when the regular teacher is absent. Department Substitute Teachers work closely with school level leadership, special education department members, grade level or content area peers and report directly to their grade level principal. Department Substitute Teachers are assigned to a grade band or department, and report to the same grade band or department each day to cover daily assignments as scheduled by the department administrator. This position requires the commitment of the Department Substitute Teacher to be available on a daily basis to cover classes.
