This position collaborates closely with faculty and staff to create realistic training environments that enhance student learning and clinical readiness. Knowledge & Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Prepare, set up, and break down simulation and laboratory equipment for EMS training sessions. * Operate and troubleshoot high-fidelity manikins, task trainers, and related simulation technology. * Update, maintain, and ensure the functionality of simulation software and associated systems. * Collaborate with EMS faculty to design and implement realistic simulation scenarios. * Monitor simulation sessions to provide technical support and ensure smooth operation. * Maintain inventory of simulation and lab equipment, supplies, and consumables. * Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on simulation equipment. * Assist in the orientation and training of faculty and staff on simulation technology and best practices. * Ensure simulation environments are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards. * Stay current with emerging simulation technologies and recommend improvements or upgrades as needed. * Document equipment usage, maintenance, and incident reports as required. * Design and implementation of simulation-based education. * Conduct simulation sessions using various modalities (e.g., manikins, standardized patients, virtual reality). * Facilitate learner engagement and critical thinking during simulations. * Lead structured debriefing sessions to reinforce learning and improve clinical decision-making.
