Facilitates youth empowerment groups and collaborates with school leadership to foster and promote non-violent norms across campuses. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide crisis intervention, advocacy and mentorship to youth who have experienced or witnessed abuse or violence. Provide crisis intervention and advocacy to non-offending adult caretakers. Conduct comprehensive assessments of client needs, provide referrals to other victim services, and facilitate connections with additional community support services for additional assistance. Educate clients about their eligibility for the Office of Victim Services and guide them through the application processes as necessary. Advocate on behalf of victims of violence and gender-based crimes throughout the campus and/or criminal justice process. Organizes and leads empowerment groups for youth aged 8-18 across our tri-county service area, creating a supportive environment where participants can develop essential life skills, build self-confidence, and engage in meaningful discussions. Plans and delivers educational programs focused on personal safety, teen sexual assault, and healthy relationships for Pre-K through12th -grade students, college students and youth programs These programs target students, staff, faculty, and administration in Ontario, Seneca, and Yates Counties. Collaborates with athletic teams and school leadership to promote and establish non-violent, healthy norms across the campus. Offers follow-up services to presentation participants upon request including referrals, advocacy, counselling and mandated reporting to child protective services and law enforcement. Maintain and cultivate professional relationships with community agencies and attend community meetings to foster collaboration. Maintains detailed and accurate records of all clients, presentations, and outreach activities, and complete notes and data entry in a timely manner. Performs additional duties as assigned by management. Requirements EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE A High School diploma and experience working with youth is required, while an Associates degree in human services with the same experience is preferred.
