Job Description
EDMO's summer team members spend 6 weeks of summer connecting with kids, honing leadership skills, and making a real impact - all while rocking wacky costumes and getting pied in the face! Our summer positions offer a unique opportunity to help kids uncover hidden talents and dive deeper into existing talents. Spend your summer pursuing your goals and developing invaluable, transferrable professional skills (including problem solving, management, and coaching).
The Site Assistant is the life line of camp, training on and being ready to hold any position that camp has to offer including Camp Director. Leading up to camp, Site Assistants will train on every role that camp has to offer. Once summer begins, Site Assistants are responsible for filling in wherever they are needed. When they are not subbing for a camp role, they will assist the Camp Director with operational oversight pertaining to their assigned location with a focus on coaching and mentoring other site staff. In addition to a full time summer component, this job includes a part-time spring component that includes training and preparation for camp.
Main duties include:
Participating in any pre-camp training, professional development, or in season meetings
Subbing for any role needed including Counselor, Instructor and Camp Director
Helping the Camp Director manage all aspects of Camp EDMO daily operations
Assisting Camp Director with management of other on site summer programs that are not EDMO (Salinas Location Only)
Coaching, mentoring and training site Instructors and Counselors
Providing high caliber customer service by anticipating and addressing any kid, staff or parent challenges and/or concerns
Communicating with parents as needed, to make sure they are up to date on what their kids are experiencing at camp
Ensuring all staff, campers, and parents are safe and have a positive experience in our program - this includes diligently following all EDMO Covid-19 guidelines and restrictions
Exhibiting the EDMO Vibe and demonstrating through actions and words each of the social emotional learning (SEL) skills of empathy, responsibility, initiative, collaboration, problem solving and emotion management, while also reinforcing these qualities in staff and kids

Qualifications
This program requires:
Must be 18 years of age; Previous satisfactory experience working with groups of students;
Successful completion of the Instructional Assistant Exam coordinating with academic level required for the position (May waive requirement with proof of Bachelor's degree with coursework primarily in English, AA degree or completion of 48 college- level units).

Systems and Integration Specialist

In collaboration with the Systems Director, the Systems and Integration Specialist is responsible for supporting a range of technology and systems for both internal and external operations. This includes setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting related to organizational and departmental systems, laptops, tablets, phones, email accounts, mail merge systems, spreadsheets, databases, and other hardware & software tools. This person will need to be able to develop and implement applications and programs for the backend processing systems that EDMO uses. We are looking for someone who can learn and grow into a more technical developer role.
This position reports to the Systems Director.
Main Responsibilities
* Keeping our database of tech hardware (computers, tablets, phones, etc.) up-to-date as devices leave and return to our warehouse
* Troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and updating/repairing as needed
* Providing thorough and reliable tech support to both home office and field staff
* Complete recurring and one-time systems tasks as assigned -- bulk emails, staff account creation, data entry for program database, etc.
* Assisting the Systems Director in planning, developing, releasing, maintaining, documenting, and training on new systems across the organization
Specific Tasks:
Tech Device Maintenance
* Develop and maintain an up-to-date database of tech devices used across our organization, including but not limited to laptops, tablets, phones, mobile internet hotspots, and classroom robotics kits
* Install necessary apps and software on new devices
* Follow up with field staff to keep the location and status of each device up-to-date in our database
* In the event of missing devices, work with database records and any involved staff to help track down the device
* Review and reconcile scattered and/or incomplete records and conversations in order to correct database errors and find lost devices.
* Understand tech related issues, think critically about solutions and problem solve independently before escalating to supervisor.
* Troubleshoot hardware & software issues with tech devices
* Repair devices, and request replacements when necessary
* Reset previously-used devices before sending out to new staff
* Prepare packaging materials and shipping labels used for sending out or retrieving remote devices
* Keep aware of wider issues with our device inventory, and report to the Systems Director as needed
Staff Tech Support
* Review and resolve tech support tickets as they come in

Departmental and Org-Wide Systems Development
* Assist the Systems Director in the planning, development, release, maintenance, documentation, and training of various departmental and org-wide systems, including but not limited to:
* Comprehensive supply ordering and management systems, covering the supply-related needs and processes of the Warehouse, Curriculum, and Programs departments
* Rosters used by field staff to manage student records, check-in/check-out, emergency contact info, etc.
* Org-wide task/project management systems (such as Asana)
* Customer relationship management software (such as HubSpot)
* When necessary, assist the Systems Director in the planning and execution of any migrations from one platform to another

Location Requirements
This position will be hybrid to Northern California and will be required to work out of our San Leandro warehouse as needed. Usually, this will be 1-2 times a week, though it may increase to 3-5 times per week during peak seasons. Peak seasons are usually 2-4 week periods in May and August. There may also be unexpected periods of peak activity under certain rare circumstances.

Position Overview:
The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of their assigned comprehensive after-school program. This includes pre-season training, in-season program management, staff coaching and management, and interactions with students and parents. The Program Manager ensures the smooth operation of daily program activities, which include snack time, outdoor play, homework help, and SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) activities. Exact parameters and daily schedules vary by partnership/site and the Program Manager is accountable for catering tools and information from the larger company to the specifics of their partnership/site. This is an on site role.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintains a positive relationship all key contacts of the Partnership.
Has healthy and positive relationships with all site staff including Principals, Office Staff, Teachers and Custodians.
Meets regularly with any relevant site staff to ensure smooth collaboration between the EDMO program and host site and adheres to any and all site specifications.
Manages site budget and ensures all line items are within agreed upon budget. Creates bi-weekly touchpoints to reconcile actuals with agreed upon budget. This includes flex budget (site specific supplies), all payroll expenses and when applicable staff appreciation and professional development.
Ensures payroll is on budget based on the agreements between EDMO and District Partners. Oversees payroll and ensures timesheets are accurate and overtime is under budget.
Manages, directs, and coordinates the programs for assigned location(s). Leads accountability for the site for which they are the Program Manager.
Leads and supervises small and large employee teams, recognizes potential issues and applies problem solving methods as needed.

Job Description
EDMO's summer team members spend about 6 weeks of summer connecting with kids, honing leadership skills, and making a real impact - all while rocking wacky costumes and getting pied in the face! Our summer positions offer a unique opportunity to help kids uncover hidden talents and dive deeper into existing talents. Spend your summer pursuing your goals and developing invaluable, transferrable professional skills (including problem solving, time management, and leadership).
The Counselor is responsible for overseeing all day to day activities with their group of campers. They support instructors with curriculum in the classroom and run organized periods of Team Time (Social and Emotional Learning curriculum) and Outdoor Game Time with their assigned group of campers daily. In addition, counselors should constantly be ready to rock that EDMO vibe with songs, skits, games, shaving cream pies, and more!
Main duties include:
Approaching camper growth with passion and excitement
Navigating groups of 20-25 kids through daily activities focused on various curriculum themes including science, technology, maker, nature and more
Leading organized activities during Outdoor Game Time and Team Time for your group of campers
Supporting instructors in the classroom with curriculum and hands-on classroom activities
Working closely with other staff members to create fun camp games, songs, skits and activities - and participating in all
Assisting in daily camper check in and check out procedures
Supporting and building positive group dynamics among campers
Interacting with parents in a professional and energetic manner
Helping to cultivate healthy self-esteem and a natural love for learning
Ensuring all campers are safe and have a positive experience in our program (this includes diligently following all EDMO Covid-19 guidelines and restrictions)
Exhibiting the EDMO Vibe and demonstrating through actions and words each of the social emotional learning (SEL) skills of empathy, responsibility, initiative, collaboration, problem solving and emotion management, while also reinforcing these qualities in other staff and kids
Position reports to: Site Director
Qualifications
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age; Previous satisfactory experience working with groups of students;
Successful completion of the Instructional Assistant Exam coordinating with academic level required for the position (May waive requirement with proof of Bachelor's degree with coursework primarily in English, AA degree or completion of 48 college- level units).

Preferred qualifications are:
Experience (and a love for!) working with kids
Experience facilitating groups of children and/or working with youth programs
High sense of responsibility and dependability
Contagious enthusiasm and charisma
Strong team player with lots of patience
Experience with arts and crafts
Creative, flexible, and excellent multi-tasker
Willingness to solve problems and remain positive and fun
Classroom management and teaching experience is a HUGE plus

Exact dates to be discussed during the interview process. Dates depend on program sites with programs running around 6 weeks.
Monday - Friday Hours: The hours for this position are full time.
Salary: $16-$20 hr
Must be fully vaccinated with the COVID - 19 vaccine to work with EDMO.
