Edward Waters College is a historically black Methodist college in Jacksonville, Florida, that offers liberal arts and professional academics as well as leadership opportunities. Edward Waters College awards bachelor's degrees in: * Biology * Business Administration * Communications * Criminal Justice * Elementary Education * Math * Music * Psychology Edward Waters College is also committed to offering a spiritually nurturing environment. Students may participate in a wide range of spiritual and religious activities, such as regular chapel and prayer services. Additional activities help students to develop leadership skills. These include planning and arranging weekly worship services and chapel committee meetings and preaching at one of the school's weekly sermons. Additional college life activities include student government and recreational and athletic programs. Edward Waters College has a rolling admissions policy, which means that students may apply throughout the year. Applicants must submit an application, transcripts or GED scores, ACT or SAT scores and two letters of recommendation for admissions. Edward Waters College offers various types of financial aid. These include federal sources, such as grants, loans and work-study awards, as well as institutional scholarships for academically excellent students, Florida State grants and scholarships, and scholarships from outside organizations.
