Back in 1971 when original owners Ed Irving and Bob Greenberg started their Eegee's food truck, they based the drinks off of an East Coast-style Italian ice that you dig into with a spoon.
It’s always nice to know how a business gives back to its community and eegee’s has always had a soft spot for taking care of its neighborhood. eegee’s kicked off its first recycling program back in 1987, well before recycling was “cool”.
Starting in 1989, the restaurants began baking all of their own bread, in order to ensure the highest quality of freshness.
In 2019 when Eegee's was named the best fast food restaurant in Arizona by Food & Wine Magazine, my parents were so intrigued they drove from Phoenix to meet me and check it out.
