DIRECT REPORTS: Clinical Resource Leader (Med Surg) and Clinical Resource Leader/Trauma Stroke Coordinator (ER).
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
Leadership and Management: Directing and supervising clinical resource leaders, nurses, technicians, unit clerks, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective teamwork. Oversees daily operations, including patient care, staffing schedules, and resource allocation.

Specific Responsibilities:
Directs and provides strategic guidance to ER and Med Surg Clinical Resources Leaders to effectively assess and allocate resources based on patient volume, space, availability, budget constraints, and program priorities, goals and objectives.
Conduct regular audits of medical charts and titration procedures, examining patient records for accuracy, completeness, and quality.
Continuously monitor and analyze financial data across assigned departments to inform strategic decisions regarding full-time equivalents (FTEs) and staffing needs. This includes assessing cost-effectiveness and reallocating resources as necessary to align with the operational budget while ensuring optimal workforce efficiency.
Regularly assesses all services to identify potential challenges and inefficiencies. Utilizes comprehensive data analysis to develop and propose innovative solutions that enhance service delivery.
Actively engages in leadership roles as chair, co-chair, or committee member of vital committees, such as the Emergency and In-Patient Services Committee and the Quality and Safety Improvement Committee. Foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders to drive meaningful improvements and ensure the highest standards of care.
Generates high quality analysis and reports to support system's strategic analysis process and business development, service line function. Ensure timely availability of key market data.
Conducts regular rounding sessions on employees to discuss problem solving, educational needs and address any concerns.
Collaborate with Executive Team, leadership to develop opportunities for growth in the core business and regional and referral market.
Fosters positive relationships with key members of Effingham's medical staff, regional hospitals, employed physicians, regional visiting specialist and Effingham Hospital System employees to solicit input and collaborate with them on strategy development and implementation of clinical programs, business and service line programs, procedures and plans.
Remains current with local trends and changes in nursing professional/practice in health environment. Ensure that department/staff meet TJC, GA Board of Nursing, and other regulatory/licensure requirements.

Requirements:
Minimum Level of Education: Graduated must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing program. BSN preferred.
Formal Training: Must effectively manage a team, keeping staff motivated and productive. Excellent analytical and research skills, including meticulous accuracy and attention to detail. Must have strong communication, leadership, facilitation, and presentation skills. Must have proven organizational skills with the ability to plan time effectively, balance multiple assignments, and meet deadlines. Under the general direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Painter will paint walls, equipment, buildings, and other structural surfaces, using brushes, rollers, and spray guns. Will remove old paint to prepare surface prior to painting and mix colors and oils to obtain desired color or consistence, in accordance with the Joint Commission, federal, state, and local guidelines, organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Conducts periodic inspections to evaluate requests for repair. Assists with the identification of parts needed for replacement and places orders, as necessary. JOB SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Director of Nursing (Care Center), the Administrative Assistant provides a variety of advanced administrative, confidential, and technical support to the Director of Nursing and clerical support to the Department. The Administrative Assistant serves as the first point of contact to the DON and is responsible for maintaining and administering staff scheduling, assisting with filling staffing vacancies, receiving and preparing outgoing mail, preparing correspondence, scheduling appointments, taking minutes for meetings, and screening/responding to calls on behalf of the Director. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Care Center Supervisory Staff in tracking licensure, certification, annual training, competency assessments, etc. and maintaining spreadsheets/databases for the Department in accordance with JCAHO, federal, state, and local guidelines, organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
1. Assures adherence to EHS mission, core values, guiding principles, business standards and administrative practices.
2. Oversee staffing needs and is responsible for coordinating and scheduling staff, as well as communicating daily staffing coverage.
3. Minimizes avoidable premium pay (Overtime) through effective scheduling and timekeeping.
4. Reviews and tracks requests for Vacation and Time-off. Coordinates scheduling to meet these needs.
5. Responsible for immediately responding to scheduling conflicts, emergencies and/or “call outs”.

The Environmental Services Technician III reports directly to the Environmental Services Manager. The EVS Tech III performs high-level time-sensitive disinfectant cleaning tasks to maintain critical patient areas. JOB SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Laboratory Director or designee in charge, The Phlebotomist is responsible for patient identification, drawing blood, specimen handling, labeling and transporting specimens to the lab, and inputting data into the computer in accordance with TJC, federal, state, and local guidelines, organizational and departmental policies and procedures. This position requires customer service skills and knowledge of different tests that are run in the laboratory or sent to reference laboratories. The Phlebotomist may have to prioritize a workload of competing priorities and draws in different areas. Communicates with medical staff, other departments, and outside agencies while maintaining confidentiality. Position requires self-motivation, creativity, and capabilities to function in a semi-autonomous role within a fast pace and dynamic environment.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
Ensures adherence to proper infection control, OSHA and safety standards.
Performs blood collections by vein puncture and capillary techniques for all age groups; Consistently finds the vein and draws blood in accordance with policies and procedures.
Handles telephone requests with courtesy, accuracy, and respect for confidentiality.
Promptly collect and receive all specimens scheduled in the computer, or as requested.
Accurately and promptly orders appropriate tests in the computer system
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
Maintains test tray in a sanitary and properly supplied condition at all times.
Determine the correct supplies needed and prepare test materials before each test.
Verify patient identification, and match with order label prior to test.
Accurately labels all specimens.
Disposes of used needles in the approved manner.
Reports any changes in the patient's condition to appropriate nursing personnel.
Adaptable to sudden changes in scheduling.
Completes all paperwork and reports timely and accurately. Maintains a well-organized, clean, neat work area.
Assists the medical lab technician and medical technologists as needed.
Maintains the filing system for patient orders and results.
Distributes specimens to appropriate areas for testing.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed, and other duties assigned.

All employees must wear proper PPE based on their designated Job Title:
Materials Management, Environmental Services, and Maintenance staff must wear back brace while lifting anything 25 pounds or higher.
Care Center direct resident care staff must wear back brace and gait belt at all times while on duty.
Clinical staff are required to wear proper PPE designated to their function and duties.
All employees are required to identify a financial institution for direct deposit of pay before start of employment and during employment tenure.
Requirements
Minimum Level of Education: Education level equivalent to completion high school. Graduate of an accredited phlebotomy training program will satisfy education requirement.
Formal Training: Completion of an accredited course of study in phlebotomy, current certification preferred.
Licensure, Certification, Registration: Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency is required within 12 months of hire.
Work Experience: Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting required. One (1) year of experience as a phlebotomist preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Tools and Equipment Used: Calculator, personal computer, telephone, facsimile machine, paper shredder, copier, printer, standard phlebotomy equipment and collection devices, syringes, needles, etc.
