Dudek is seeking a mid-level professional with experience in the field of hydrogeology, specifically focused on data analysis, interpretation, and communication. The hired staff member will assist agencies and landowners with a variety of tasks, including evaluation of water resource development opportunities, managed aquifer recharge studies, California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) technical studies, and Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with SGMA implementation and compliance, annual reports, and periodic updates.
Prepare or assist with preparation of various hydrogeologic and hydrologic reports including, but not limited to, water supply assessments, CEQA EIR sections, and hydrogeologic investigation reports.
Collect, evaluate, and analyze hydrogeologic data.
Communicate results of investigations in written, oral, and graphical formats.
Quality assurance and quality control responsibilities for internal and external communications.
Work across disciplines, with Dudek Planners and other experts, to review and/or prepare water-related CEQA sections and technical studies.
Analyze numerical model outputs to generate groundwater budgets, comparisons of simulated and measured hydrogeologic parameters, and identify gaps in the conceptual model that impact model predictions.
Minimum Qualifications

About the Opportunity
A manufacturing facility in Meadville, PA is seeking a Staff Environmental Specialist to support onsite environmental compliance activities. This role will temporarily cover an employee on leave for approximately 6-9 months and requires a mid-January start.
Candidates local to the region or within a 50-mile radius are strongly preferred. Non-local candidates will be considered if willing to travel to the site. This is not a remote or hybrid role.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct field surveys, routine inspections of operational equipment, and collect operations-related data to support compliance with environmental permits.
Prepare environmental compliance reports for regulatory agencies.
Collect and analyze data for air emissions calculations.
Support environmental site investigations, erosion control efforts, and subsurface soil sampling.
Assist in the preparation of air and water permit applications.
Coordinate with subcontractors for testing and measurement programs.
Ensure full compliance with company and site safety standards.
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all policies and procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience (One of the following):
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, natural sciences, or engineering + 4 years of experience in environmental studies, permitting, and environmental data analysis;
OR
Master's degree in a related field + 3 years of relevant experience.
Required Skills & Competencies:

Experience with environmental compliance programs and audits.
Knowledge of environmental permitting processes.

Summary/Objective:
A leader in planning and directing cross-functional work for a project, or scopes within a large project. Demonstrated success working in multi-disciplinary environments (e.g., civil, construction, process, mechanical, IT), across diverse projects varying in size, scope, and complexity.
Specialized knowledge of technical practices and processes in core project disciplines and support functions, including EHS, engineering, construction, project controls, and supply chain management.
Proven ability to execute and support a variety of field and project-based assignments, contributing both technically and strategically.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related field.
4-8 years of experience in the oil and gas industry or environmental field.
Preferred Education & Experience
Experience as a Geologist, Engineer, or Scientist in the Environmental industry.
Ability to effectively manage and lead cross-functional project teams.
Strong technical writing skills, effective communication, ability to network, build relationships and influence change.
Experience working with State Regulations and related entities.
Experience exercising independent judgement in planning, organizing & completing assignments along with reviewing and evaluating recommendations and actions proposed by other personnel
Demonstrated professional and mature judgment, originality and ingenuity in devising practical economical solutions.
Demonstrated experience solving complex problems requiring development of new approaches or new uses for existing approaches involving multiple stakeholders or functions.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)
Employee must be authorized to work in the United States and must possess a valid driver's license.

Environmental Scientist
We are seeking to hire an entry-level Scientist to join our robust Natural Resources. This position will assist project managers with natural resource-based projects involving wetlands, threatened & endangered species, and water resource permitting issues.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to be highly organized, multi-task, and navigate various complex projects. The Impact You Will Have
