The Senior Quality Technicians play a crucial role in our manufacturing processes. They perform quality control inspections, checks and tests during all stages of the manufacture of products to ensure that they conform to company standards. They also play a vital role in teaching and developing junior technicians. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
Train, teach and develop junior quality technicians
Maintain calibration system; perform required monthly calibration checks for instruments requiring calibration or verification.
Perform internal audits per the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
Create, edit and maintain Controlled Documents.
Perform periodic inspection audits of dimensional or cosmetic / visual requirements on product and provide relevant reports.
Perform PPAP and First Article inspections, including uploading documentation into customer portals.
Perform routine testing on product per customer requirements.
Assist Quality Manager with Customer Concern issues and paperwork when needed.
Sort and repackage damaged or suspect material if necessary.
Perform Dock Audits
Assist with quality issues at supplier or customer sites as needed.
Participate in 5S activities
Other support / tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma / GED. College a plus but not required.
Hours: Available to work 40 hours per week and occasionally overtime.
HOURS: Day shift M-F 8am - 4:30pm (occasional overtime required)

Personnel Management

Enforce all safety protocols, including PPE usage, lockout/tagout procedures, and chemical handling guidelines.
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly EHS inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company environmental standards regarding flammable materials, ventilation, and waste disposal.
Maintain accurate documentation of MSDS/SDS, hazardous waste logs, safety training, and incident reports.
Lead or participate in accident investigations, implement corrective actions, and track safety KPIs.
Equipment & Facility Management
Oversee operation and preventive maintenance for spray booths, paint guns, curing ovens, ventilation systems, compressors, and other paint equipment.

Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), best practices, and training materials.
Evaluate new equipment, paint products, and technologies to improve quality and reduce costs.
Track and report departmental KPIs, including cycle time, yield, scrap levels, labor efficiency, safety incidents, and on-time delivery.
Lead improvement projects focused on equipment reliability, throughput, and workplace organization.
