Egalet CEO and leadership

Mr. Radie is president and chief executive officer and a member of Egalet’s board of directors, positions he has held since March 2012. From November 2010 to October 2011, Mr. Radie served as president and chief executive officer of Topaz Pharmaceuticals Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company acquired by Sanofi Pasteur in the fourth quarter of 2011. From March 2009 to November 2010, Mr. Radie served as president and chief executive officer of Transmolecular, Inc., a biotechnology company developing cancer diagnostic and treatment products, after serving as a consultant to Transmolecular from December 2008 through March 2009. From September 2007 to September 2008, Mr. Radie served as the chief business officer of Prestwick Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company. Before joining Prestwick, Mr. Radie served in senior management positions with a number of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, including Morphotek, Inc., Vicuron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Eli Lilly and Company. Mr. Radie serves as a director Pennsylvania BIO, the statewide trade association for the life sciences in Pennsylvania, Paratek Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company, and Horse Power for Life, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals diagnosed with cancer. Mr. Radie received his B.S. in chemistry from Boston College.

Barbara Carlin is a Senior VP/Chief Acctg Officer at Egalet. She has worked as VP:Finance & Administration at Egalet and Chief Accounting Officer at Egalet. Barbara works or has worked at moksha8 Pharmaceuticals Inc and works or has worked as Auditor at Deloitte, Manager:Accounting at Pfizer, and Dir:Corporate Project Management at Topaz Pharmaceuticals Inc. She attended Saint Joseph’s University.

Patrick M. Shea has served as our Chief Commercial Officer since April 2014. Prior to that, from December 2012 to April 2014, he served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing, U.S. Commercial Operations for CSL Behring, a private biotherapeutics company. From June 2011 to December 2012, Mr. Shea acted as an independent consultant in the pharmaceutical industry. From 2006 to June 2011, he served as Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, U.S. Pharmaceutical Operations for Astellas Pharma US, Inc., the principal U.S. operating subsidiary of Astellas Pharma Inc., a Japanese pharmaceutical company. Mr. Shea received a B.A. in Psychology from Alfred University.

Dr. Jeffrey Dayno joined Egalet as our chief medical officer in July 2014. He spent ten years in clinical and academic medicine before moving into the pharmaceutical industry. He served as vice president, global medical affairs at ViroPharma, Inc., from August 2011 to May 2014. Prior to joining ViroPharma, Dr. Dayno was the chief medical officer at Labopharm, Inc., a drug delivery technology company based in Montreal, Canada, where he first started working in the field of abuse-deterrent opioid product development. Before Labopharm, he was vice president of medical affairs at Cephalon, Inc., from 2005 to 2010. Dr. Dayno started his career in the pharmaceutical industry in 1998 at Merck & Co., Inc., where he spent 7 years in positions of increasing responsibility in the medical and scientific affairs division. Before moving into leadership roles in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, he held a number of clinical appointments, including assistant professor of neurology, Jefferson Medical College, and medical director of the Jefferson Health System Stroke Center Network. Dr. Dayno earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, completed a fellowship in stroke and cerebrovascular disorders in the Department of Neurology at Henry Ford Hospital, a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Research Center for stroke and headache, and was board certified in neurology. Dr. Dayno is currently a member of the Board of Visitors of Temple University School of Medicine and was a former chairman of the Philadelphia Stroke Council.

Ms. Deanne Melloy F. is a Chief Commercial Officer at Egalet and is based in United States.

Paul Varki is a General Counsel, Vice President, Head of Legal, US at Idorsia Pharmaceuticals US Inc and Chief Compliance Officer at Egalet and is based in Radnor Township, Pennsylvania. He has worked as Regulatory Counsel at FDA, Vice President Legal at Amarin, and Assistant General Counsel at GSK. Paul attended Temple University Beasley School of Law between 1997 and 2000, GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY between 1994 and 1995, and College of William & Mary between 1990 and 1994.
