Eggleston Leadership

Paul Atkinson is the Chief Executive Officer for Eggleston. A native of Hampton Roads, his daily responsibilities include fiscal management and planning, program development, strategic initiatives and maintaining effective and productive relationships with state, local and national disability organizations.

When Mr. Atkinson was named Eggleston’s executive director in 1991 the organization had an annual revenue budget of less than $500,000 and served 125 persons with disabilities. Today the organization provides employment or services to over 700 persons with an annual revenue budget of $24 million dollars.

Mr. Atkinson received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University and began his professional career as a special education teacher. In addition to having worked in the public school system, Paul also worked within the state institutional system where he became aware of a variety of challenges facing persons with disabilities.

Mr. Atkinson is a graduate of the Hampton Roads Civic Leadership program, and is a past winner of the Virginia Beach Foundation’s Excellence in Non-profit leadership award. He has served as the Chair of Source America, a national organization of 500 non-profits providing disability employment services and was recently selected as the recipient of the Milton J. Cohen Leadership Award. He is a former president of vaACCSES, a state trade association for community rehabilitation programs, and former president of the National Council of Work Centers. He is also a mediator, licensed by the Supreme Court of Virginia.

Ronald (Ron) L. Fritch is the Chief Financial Officer for Eggleston. Originally from Ohio, Ron currently lives in Norfolk and has four sons and nine grandchildren. He has been married 30 years to his wife, Sheryl. Ron is an Elder at the First Presbyterian Church of Norfolk, is a Trustee for the Camelia Acres Civic League, a board member with Faith Inclusion Network and is a copyrighted author.

Ron graduated from The Ohio State University then continued his graduate studies at The University of California at Berkley where he was also an award-winning Teaching Assistant. At Ohio State University, he held numerous leadership positions including President of Beta Gamma Sigma (National Business Honorary), Vice-President of Beta Alpha Psi (National Accounting Honorary) and a National Accounting Association scholarship winner. His educational background is in finance and accounting and is peppered with accreditations and scholar awards for his performance and acumen.

Professionally, Ron began his professional career in Public Accounting with Ernst & Young and its predecessors. He then spent the next 27 years in both private and public organizations, 19 of which have been in executive management positions. Throughout his professional career, he has led the financial recovery of two significant social service companies and has designed effective financial and reporting tools for companies in social services, home infusion, charity, and medical services.

From volunteering with youth sports teams to teaching and authoring Sunday School curricula, he has provided decades of civic-minded service to his local community. When not working, volunteering or enjoying time with his grandchildren and family, Ron loves kayaking and canoeing as well as hiking. Ron is an avid traveler and has visited 47 states as well as Canada and Mexico.
