YOUR LIFE AS AN EHS PARENT INVOLVEMENT COORDINATOR

This social work position typically works Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and requires extensive traveling as you drive to families' homes.

As an EHS Parent Involvement Coordinator, you offer vital support to families in our community by providing them with resources and strategies to find healing and success. You are a compassionate person who has a heart for working with children and families who are striving to overcome generational trauma cycles. In this role, you travel to clients' homes and build relationships with them to help develop their skills, communication, and self-sufficiency.

You take note of each family's strengths and needs, and you use those assessments to help shape their plans and goals. Patiently, you help the families find community services and resources where they can find support and build relationships with others. You regularly check in on the families to track their progress and ensure they follow their plans. You feel great about helping families grow past their trauma so their children can have better futures!

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• At least 1 year of experience working in an early childhood education program OR working with children and/or families
• Can read, write, and speak in both English and Spanish
• A valid High School Diploma or GED

An associate degree in social services or a related field would be preferred but is not required. Two or more years of experience in an early childhood education program would be a bonus. SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator is responsible for tasks related to safety and environmental hazards in the workplace as well as administrative needs for Regulatory compliance, recordkeeping, audits, and permits for EHS over multiple TEQ North America locations.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate incident investigation and assist in reporting corrective actions Work closely with Human Resources to complete all actions related to reported incidents Implement the environmental, health and safety training programs Coordinate and present general safety, health, and facility training to all levels of the organization as required by federal and state regulations Coordinate safety inspections, gap assessments, and safety audits as required Ensure inspections by regulatory agencies are coordinated and deficiencies minimized and corrected Assist in the maintenance of all required logs and documentation associated with safety records, permits and regulatory requirements Maintain and update as needed SOPs for all safe work practices and equipment Maintain filing systems regarding worker training and safety Monitor industry regulatory standards Participate in institutional professional development and training Provide advice and assist all company management to ensure that effective EHS is implemented and working by providing daily guidance and direction in EHS programs at the employee / supervisor level Serve as chair on safety committees/councils Support facility maintenance, growth and expansion; permitting, recycling, waste minimization, safety equipment, and regulatory compliance Manage and maintain company sustainability information and oversee reporting activities Manage cGMP, ISO14001, and CFR 21 177 regulation and compliance activities, including program maintenance and relevant training Oversee compliance and required documentation related to Conflict Minerals, PROP65, REACH, RoHS, and other European Directives for environmental compliance

• Lead investigation of near miss and injury incidents and assist with developing and tracking the corrective actions
• Develop and implement the EHS Training Plans for the site
• Coordinate and present training programs in general safety and facility training and/or specialty area
• Drive participation in BBS observations and gather and review data collected to provide site leadership focus on safety activities
• Conduct safety portion of New Employee Orientation
• Ensure site maintains compliance regarding local, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental standards and requirements
• Track and report activities identified by the site Safety & Health Improvement Plan (SHIP)
• Coordinate with Plant Manager on facility deficiencies and monthly safety inspections/audits
• Ensure inspections by regulatory agencies are coordinated and deficiencies minimized and corrected
• Maintain all logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory requirements (OSHA 300, TIER, etc.)
• Collaborate with Engineering, Process Engineering, and/or Maintenance to update needed SOPs as needed to ensure safe work practices and equipment utilization
• Maintain filing systems regarding worker training and safety
• Participate in institutional professional development and training
• Participate in the development of safety guidelines and related environmental health and safety communications and educational information
• Practice safe working techniques and re-enforce the safety policies, guidelines, and procedures as set out by the Company
• Provide advice, assistance, and management to ensure that effective EHS processes are implemented

• Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety, or related field
  • 2 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment leading to environmental and safety compliance is preferred
  • Specific training in OSHA, emergency response, basic first aid, CPR, and use of an AED preferred
  • Safety Certification/s (CSP, ASP, SMS, OHST, CHST, STS, STSC, CET) a plus
