Matteo has always been an athlete and obsessed with recovery and performance. Growing up in Italy, he spent time as a competitive ski racer, tennis player and race car driver before jumping into the corporate world as a securities lawyer. After launching and exiting a couple of companies in the renewable energy space, his professional focus came full circle as he rediscovered his passion for optimizing performance. He explored the space and realized the massive opportunity for smarter sleep products to support the rapidly growing quantified self movement. It was at this moment that Eight Sleep was born.

Alexandra is the co-founder and VP of Brand and Marketing at Eight Sleep, the world's first sleep fitness company. Eight Sleep designs tech-enabled products, content and services that make people sleep fit.

In 2017, Alexandra was named by Forbes to the 30 Under 30 list of young professionals making an impact in the Consumer Technology industry. The same year, she was a speaker at the Forbes Under 30 Summit on the topic of longevity, sleep and technology.

Prior to Eight Sleep, Alexandra applied her marketing experience at various startups, academic institutions, and Wall Street organizations. She was raised in Tijuana, Mexico and now lives in New York City. She holds a B.S. in Communication Science from Tecnologico de Monterrey.

Massimo Andreasi Bassi is a CTO & co-Founder at Eight.

Melat Menberu is a Federal Ministry of Health Medical Service Directorate as CHIEF PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICER at Eight and is based in Addis, Louisiana. She has worked as Laboratory Technologist at Assosa Hospital, QA at Assosa Hospital, and Health Promotion Officer at ADMINISTRATION FOR REFUGEE AND RETURN AFFAIRS. Melat studied at Haromaya University and Debub University.
